I still just come here because this is such nice and cool couple. But when u get the bonus of legendary performances like this it all just becomes very enjoyable. Steve Vai literally rewrote the book of guitar. He moved the bar waaaaay waaaay up. He is just one with the instrument and made new music that reshaped how we know it.

He’s an excellent guitarist but settle down. This statement is way off bro. Slightly overrated by many

Tender Surrender, in my point of view, is an expression of love making from start to finish and ending with raw, explosive climax.

this is one of the most beautiful compositions i ever heard. im an amateur musician i know he uses lydian mode a lot, which gives a brightness to the sound. he can play live the exact as studio versions, even act like he's doing in this live while playing

6:13 Vin says to Sori... "I can do that. I can do that." Your pl didn't worn ya Vin.... DO NOT PLAY THE LIVE VERSION. Steve will walk away with your woman... or at least her mind, for a while. Glad yall got around to this. Been watching you off n on for a year now.

Yeah, I know what Vin says. I play guitar myself and I always know the difference between good or great guitar musician. And as Vin mentioned its not only complexity of the notes - its that magic moment when the instrument "tender surrenders to you". It happens sometimes to any even average player, but the Great one never loose that state of mind. And that Excellence channels to listeners.

I had a deep Steve Vai period in my life and got to know as much as I could about the music. One of the best is "Fire Garden Suite". It's a bit longer but worth it.

It's like a date--a conversation, that leads to making out, then moving through the bases, and then sex with all of its giggles, cries whimpers, moans and demands, before the whole thing just collapses into a climax. There's maybe even a marriage and some nagging at the end. :-) The dude played *The Black Page.* What more can be said for a guitar player?

I remember getting to see SV and Joe Satch and Steve Lukather (Toto) do a G3 concert live here in NZ around 2009, got ticket late due to mates flaking out so ended up with "obscure view" which ended up being basically seated over the stage right in line with the main men so I could see their hands all the way through, amazing show!!! They were all technically great but Steve Vai was the highlight due to his personality coming through in the way he played with crazy facials and little dance moves and whatnot. And the 50 something year old dad I was sitting next was also having the time of his life fistpumping all the way through hah!

Cheers again mr. vai.4 decades later your ability to find the space between major and minor keys is alien like. knapsack blew my brain, eee. knock that sht off olredi. Nice reaction Vin & Sori. when i started learning how to pay geetar, i made mistake of buying music book of him when he was playing wiff dave lee roth, the legend (what all em mad squiggles actually denote. i realised i had a long trip ahead, thankfuly i like in scotland so loads ea shroom here ha ha. seriously, Steve Vai is in a diff fkn planet. and so humble too. he helps up and coming young musicians and dun stand in front of a camera saying so.
