Bucky was subconsciously fighting his programming during the entirety of this tussle. Bucky is a seasoned sharpshooter & he failed to take the multiple headshot opportunities he had. He failed to destroy the computer chip as well. Crushing it would have been so easy.

2:02 just shows you how much of a beast Winter Soldier Bucky was. This man got his arm broken, screamed out briefly, and immediately got back into the game. He didn't even drop what was in his hand until he was passed out. Credit to both of these old men. They took blows from each other that would immediately kill a normal human. If Cap didn't break Bucky's arm, this fight would've lasted all day. I would've paid good money to see it.

That vacant look in Bucky's eyes when Cap first runs down the platform. He is just standing there totally silent waiting for Cap, and Bucky doesnt even move until Cap throws the shield at him. This scene really speaks to what Bucky has been through, when even the pain of Cap breaking his arm didnt make him drop the chip and didnt end the fight. This scene is so painful. When Cap says "please dont make me do this" you can hear the pain in his voice, he does not want to fight Bucky.

Bucky is such an awesome character,but so is Cap.

What i really find interesting about this fight is that despite all the brainwashing and reprogramming Bucky still remembers and finds counter actions to Steve's fighting style. He knows what he's gonna do and how to stop it

They don't need to teach him how to fight specific people, just how to fight efficiently. HYDRA never trained him to fight Steve Rogers because Steve was under the ice. Yet, Bucky was able to match his style. That comes down to training.

He's been tortured for too long, he just keeps on going. The look on Bucky's face too when he made sure Steve was breathing. These two guys!! The friendship. The violence. These writers. It's like the writers wanted the fights to be just as powerful as the friendship/love as best friends. We get writers. We get it.

One of the Super Soldier Serum habilities is healing factor, its not wolwerine or deadpool level but strong enough to make the user recover quikly from broken bones,gunshots wounds (not fatal ones) and other types of damages that a normal humans would take months or years to completely heal. By the time they arribed to the shore Bucky and Steve were injured but already healing.

Yes. Cap is definitely holding back. Bucky is getting triggered. Steve is wearing the old suit and he keeps trying to talk Bucky down. Somewhere in his brain Winter Soldier is holding back. They are still fighting though. Bucky is a good shot. He could have aimed for Steve's face or neck instead of the leg, hand and back. The writers knew what they were doing.

the one in tfatws is weakened so bad. He could barely put up a good fight with Walker and got kicked about as if he isn't the most deadliest assassin-soldier that even Stevee struggled against. Bucky could barely stop the shield in the fight with John, and yet here we see him evenly counter Steve's attempt, and even deflect it easily with one punch. In tfatw he get's knocked out with one hit from the shield... ridiculous. This is probably why I appreciate Bucky more as an antagonist. When a bad guy turns good, he's automatically nerfed after that.

@@kalyan7607 Steve never held back against Bucky in the highway fight because Steve didn't even realise it was Bucky until the very end. You can see in that fight, Steve was taken off-guard by how skilled he was, and it took him a while to find the Winter Soldier's weak point. Although Walker is a skilled soldier, his experience and skill-set no where near comapres to Bucky's. Point is, Bucky should have been able to put up a better fight. With Steve, he easily deflected/caught the shield when it was used againt him, yet he struggled against Walker like he was a newbie.

Honestly, after both fights, you can't tell me that Bucky isn't on par with Steve, like literally Cap had to attack Bucky while he was distracted by the chip, to just take him down, sure if the fight continued, Cap could have won, but it still took Cap using a weak point to even stop Bucky

I think first encounter>this "final" one. You see in ther first fight,Bucky was indeed trying to kill Steve and unlike the aftermath of that fight Bucky had yet to remember who he or even Steve were so it was straight up "The Winter Soldier" vs Captain America. That was the true display of Buckys power.

Strength is comparable. Just my opinion but Cap is supposed to be the good guy here. Winter Soldier is still the brain washed, unstable, villain. We all know Winter Soldier is a victim, but Cap needed to win. Cap is supposed to win because he's the "hero" and Bucky is the badass, victim /villain who needs to be knocked out and treated for PTSD. I think both characters are getting triggered. But strength....equal. Steve has the heart. Winter Soldier does not care, he'll shoot innocents. TFATWS Bucky is so traumatized, he's going to need help to get himself back into fighting mode. Dude needs to protect himself better than what he was doing in TFATWS.

Steves holds back whenever he fights ( most of the times atleast ) It still feels like he's pretty strong But when Bucky holds back ( FATWS ) He doesn't look strong..it feels like he has no powers..🥲 Even though they are pretty much equal in terms of strength...Bucky seems to be weaker.. P.S don't say that he has a weaker serum or anything Yes I knoww he does not have the original serum but that does not mean his version of the serum is weak No one in the MCU ever confirmed that his serum is weak.
