Got to see their album release show for their second album back in Chicago at the Vic Theater in 2016. I was born in the early 90s, not the late 90s, but I had to stumble upon American Football just the same, as it's not like this was what my older sisters where listening to in high school. Had to pay like $80 for parking because it was when the Cubs were in the World Series, and the nasty security guard made me pick between buying merch and meeting Steve Lamos. I chose the latter, and he's such an incredibly warm, genuine human being. It's to this day one of the best concerts I've ever been to, and it was a totally random blessing considering I live across the country but was working in Southeast Iowa for a couple months at the time.
