I always loved that 2nd dunk, it was as good as dunks from Vince. That whole contest was legendary.
No dunk contest will ever be this good. Tracey, Francis, they would have won any year for the next 10 years if it wasn't for Vince. Unreal

If Vince Carter wasn't competing that year, Steve woulda been 1st place!
That first dunk was sick! Steve Francis all the way!
This man had hops
I had a slam magazine poster of that last dunk he made in my room for 10 years… it’s such a sick photo
palming a ball and having a grip on a ball r 2 different things. my hands r not big but I can pick up a basketball with 1 hand at Times. guys like Vince and Tracy can hold it like I can hold a cantaloupe. Stevie couldn't genuinely palm it. he was at a great disadvantage in this contest. hand size and height. I was most impressed by him.
miss the times when players didnt need many tries to make dunk

The golden years of Stevie Franchise, before he had the migraine issues. Returned to the Rockets years later, but by that time was washed up. It seems like every Rockets great eventually get riddled with injury problems, happened to Yao and Tracy as well. God forbid if it happens to Harden...

Francis in his prime was top 3 pg also! What is harden the best at? scoring 30 while his defence is non existent. This team is a losing team and will STAY that!

Straight classic and legend. I remember 💯 this when u had those REAL BALLERS 😂U SEE HOW EASY HE COME INTO HIS FIRST DUNK AND KEEP IT ON REPEAT. I must add that this ain't even best dunks of the night. Vince performed the best dunks in the history of the league.
Any other year for Francis or Mcgrady
Did he do that on purpose in his first dunk? Letting the ball slide down his wrist?
Francis was in the wrong dunk contest. He may have won if he did these dunks in the 2001 ASG based on the field.
Hops!
Stevie Franchise AKA the Self Alley-Oop King?!
and of course he doesn't hit his ankle!!! any fool knows That! lol. but it's a way to explain his dunk. other people described that dunk like he was completely sideways. 180 degree angle. it really wasn't. by the way, that dunk was sick nonetheless (but that doesn't mean it had the flu).
The last great dunk contest. Francis was small, so his dunks were impressive with the amount if power he used. In college he was known for his in game slams. Then you have Vince, who is the GOAT dunker. It was magic to watch it.
At 5:18 Does anyone know what did Carter say to him? Seems like Carter was yelling at him to break his confidence.
