He hasn't wavered once in the 35 years , he's as funny now as he was then. A true comic.
I had the pleasure of seeing this performance in the theatre, it was absolutely brilliant, the laughes just kept coming, my stomach and face hurt by the end of the show, a really talented chap.

Great review for Bernard Righton but what about Pauline's performance ?
Such a pity we didn’t see more of the great Duncan Thicket.
Loved this show when was first released on video and it's just as good today.
I loved Pauline. Wish she'd made an appearance more often.

I watched this exact set live in Manchester, I was sat in the front row. Amazing performance. Knowing that this recording was taken in Liverpool, you have to tip your hat. Coogan made the right decision.

Just genius. Coogan has a right set of pins! And John Thompson as Bernard Righton, brilliant. Love Duncan Thickett. Genius. His Man Who Thinks He’s It show is excellent as well, saw it twice in 1998.

@@fredzep01 I was trying to agree. It's one of those lost in speech to text kind of things. I considered myself a fan of standup and had never seen these acts. Here in America we don't travel much farther than Ontario for foreign entertainment.... this is gold. New comedians are not filling shoes fast enough
