A player that never got his due on the international level, was a true warrior borne of blood, bone and pure grit, and a rock for us at the back, and lets not forget that the scored 50 odd goals in 400 odd appearances, including 19 in one season. Legend.

He got 18 goals including 10 penalties in one season! He was a brilliant player, not that technical but an amazing leader. Fergie would not have had that level of success without Bruce. ⚽
Just the mention of the two goals against Sheffield Wednesday gives me goosebumps
Steve Bruce always comes across as a top fella. Seems like the sort of bloke you could have a pint with down the pub. Decent player too.
Met Steve few years ago wen he was Hulls manager an I was working next door to Alex's house, real nice bloke proper down to earth, was great player to cant believe he didn't get any England caps
one thing that always strikes you about Steve Bruce, is that he is one of the nicest and most genuine of guys, he never deserved the stick he got at newcastle. God Bless Brucey

Love Brucey, an out and out United LEGEND
I travelled to Gillingham to watch Norwich play in the league cup and Bruce was playing for them. We signed him not long after that game. I called him the Golden Forehead as he seemed to hang in the air and bullet headers in. Especially the one in the second leg vs Ipswich in the LC semi final that put us through to the final. Superb player.

Real decent fella Steve Bruce is I enjoyed watching him play for Man Utd
the day he scored twice against sheff wed. i was in the bath with the radio commentary on as I was just 11years old, when the first one went in i jumped up and down when the 2nd went in i jumped out of the bath slipped and hit my nose on the bathroom door and its been out of shape ever since. I know bruce and others have the same issue. But mine i happily took!!!

We would have him back at Hull in a flash. Our most successful period ever and it was all due to Steve Bruce and he did it despite having the most impossible chairman ever.
Canny story that, about Jackie Charlton. I'm a geordie but a Villa fan. Brucie managed both of our clubs. Gets a hard time but it's from intellectually lazy people in my mind. Never forget who signed Super John McGinn for Villa. And 2 million quid!! Smart move, VERY smart. Cheers Steve

the infliction of famine and war from the brits back in the 1800s made millions of Irish emigrate from 1850s to about 1920s so 70 years of immigration to other countries most notably America Canada Austrailia and UK and some others it got us around a bit lol usually though fully Irish parents which had or have kids in said countries and just progressed from that.. there's 100's of millions of people all over world with Irish Heritage even in Jamaica lol.
