Just picked up a SUB 5 HH. These basses are ridiculously good for what they cost. I think mine is staying stock, but I can't wait to hear what the Audere sounds like with that pickup.

My stock 5 sounds ok for $399. Fun to play. Thanks.

Wow, This Aggie is the closest to the EB sound from a SUB that I've heard so far, it's equal to or a little better than a Ray35 the right pickup can make a HUGE difference.

Was The Wilkinson M series Bad compared to the Aguilar?

The stock bridge is 17mm def gon need a like an 18, or 19mm bridge for the spacing. I got the same exact setup but I’m about swap the AG-5m for the DCB-5m only because of the pole alignment is off on the G but the pickup is still good tho!

man i had the same problem... whith DCB5M pickup we dont have this aligment problem? Does it have internal poles or just the ceramic bar? What is your opnion about the DCB sound? thanks!

@@marciosouza8656 the DCB-5m is pretty much like a bartolini PU there’s no exposed poles just a giant soapbar pickup.

I upgraded the stock pickups in my sterling Ray 5 as well, but with Seymour Duncans. They were not a direct fit though, I had to cut the pickguard in order to make it fit. I didnt know they made a pickup for the Sterling that was a direct fitment

I was planning to install the SD MM pickup. How much difference and cutting did you have to do? Was the string spacing ok?

@@ronaldquintana6526 thanks. I’ve done some research and it looks like the SD won’t line up well but Nordstrand has different string spacings, including OLP that will line up well. Another alternative is bartolini which is a bar. Good luck!

@@blee3621 Thanks! That helped a lot. I did my homework too and I'm thinking about doing the upgrade with EMG. I think it's the same as Bartolini (soap bars). I hope it works. Take care!
