We just recently moved to the Tyler area, and so far we love that part of Texas. Regarding moving your household goods, there are many moving options to consider. Do some research! I would not say, “Do not use PODS for your move”, but I would definitely suggest looking at other options. Our move seemed to be going well until the POD was delivered and we noticed it was the wrong size. Things went downhill after that. I would be happy to let anybody know my honest feedback about the entire process, including my attempts to resolve grievances, either here or via FB DM.

It is still my dream & desire to move to an unknown city in Texas in the future (possibly in 2022 or 2023) and the Lord God will make it happen and provide me the finances to buy a house in the Lone Star State. Happy New Year to you, Brandon and the Pollard Family. Be blessed in Jesus name. 🙂👋👋🙏

I’ve been doing a lot of research and I’m liking SA better due to cheaper homes and closer to the beach. What are your thoughts? Is there anything I would be missing out in Plano?

I've been to Texass many times (because I had to, left as soon as I could). Why would anyone want to move to Texass. Much of Texass is a open sewer. I like messing with Texass. Texass has HIGH property taxes. California has higher income taxes and low property taxes. California is not perfect but I'll take California over Texass every day of the week. Realtors are some of the reckless folks my taxes bailed out with RTC and TARP. Check out the recent excessive property tax increases in Texass.

@@movingtotexas Just saying that is the reality. I am a native Texan and over 50. I remember a time when most of the cities in Texas where the people were friendly, road rage was unheard of and people were nice. You can still find that in the smaller towns, but the cities are ruined. The development has killed off the wildlife, all of the new home builds have eaten up precious land where flooding is now an issue because the water has nowhere to drain. Plus the water table will not sustain the growth occurring around Austin, Houston and Dallas during the drought months. The truth is not always encouraging.
