@@noreactionzz5076it’s different with them though. It’s pretty universally accepted that Magic and Jordan are better than their partners. There’s an argument for Kareem over Magic but when they played together Magic was clearly the better player. When it comes to Kobe and Shaq, Shaq was the better player the entire time they played together. Kobe was great, but he was the second best player on those teams. The argument for Kobe’s greatness comes from what he did after him and Shaq broke up. Kobe had a better career than Shaq, but prime vs prime, Shaq was above Kobe

Sixers lost in 6 for a reason lol. it probably would've been in 5 if magic didn't only score 13 in game 2, in which they lost by 3. regardless, doing it in one game doesn't mean he was the feature for the whole year. kobe dominated individual playoff games with shaq, especially when Shaq notoriously fouled out, but he never gets credit for those games. even though both of them had one hand on the wheel, neither was the bus driver for their respective teams. overall, Magic was 5-4 with at least 2 other hall of famers on his team for almost his whole career. Kobe did more with FAR less against harder and deeper (pause) league-wide competition. (magic's era is like the 2010's era with the league being extremely top heavy, with like only 4 teams having a realistic shot at the title) and let's just be straight up honest, Kobe is the better individual player

I don't know why people mention Kobe in top 3/5 conversations like Tim Duncan didn't have an extremely similar legacy to him. He won 3 championships without another top 75, but really all 5 since Robinson was old and Kawhi was far from the player he'd become. Tim Duncan has more MVPs, more fmvps, the same amount of all nbas and is of course known as one of the greatest defenders of all time. If you think Kobe should be top 5 idk how you don't think Tim Duncan should be.

Kobe vs Spurs in 2002 Averaged Over 26 points, Over 5 Reb, 5 Ast, and 1 Steal per game (The Real NBA Finals), while Tim Duncan and David Robinson were holding Shaq to 21 points per game.
