Every guy taken in the second round only receives a televised invitation to training camp. 2nd round picks are not guaranteed roster spots. They still have to make the team. Also, once you get past the first half of the lottery you are picking on fit or projection and upside not on who the kid is right now. Looking at numbers doesn't tell you a lot and we've seen a lot worse players with better numbers go in the first round over the years.

He was never going to have a standout season at USC with his condition and also how guard heavy they were. The measurements are there, the physicals are there, the IQ is there, and he is mechanically sound. Someone will give him a chance. Look, I like Bronny, I'm glad he was able to bounce back from those heart problems, rooted for him at USC, and I hope he succeeds in the future. However, it rubs me the wrong way that no other college basketball player would be able to get this much benefit of the doubt. If he wasn't LeBron's son, dude would not be on anyone's radar. Did they really just bring up his marketability for G-League teams as a valid reason to draft him?? C'mon man smh. Again, I get it. He has the privilege of being LeBron's son, it is a business, and life ain't fair; but I wish they had this energy for the other college players in the same situation he's in but without the privilege

Not gonna lie, OKC is in a perfect spot to take Bronny. They don't need him to contribute right now. They have a plethora of picks in the next few years, so they can take calculated gambles like this. Their G-league team also won their championship this year. And it would be a situation where he could legit sit and learn for a couple of years if needed, but still join a young, high achieving and still ascending team!

Cleveland will probably draft him in hopes LeBron will come back. But the fact that he is even considered for the draft is ridiculous. This could historically be the worst draft pick EVER.

Anyone who hasn't experienced a cardiac arrest event and had to mentally and physically work your way back to being normal should shut up with these negative comments about a kid you know nothing about. We as a society forget how to have empathy for someone who has going through a significant life changing event. This young man will FOREVER have those feelings and talks in his head pertaining to almost losing his life. I wish him luck. If he makes it to the NBA and has a decent career it would be fantastic. He is clearly not his father but from listening to him talk he doesn't want to be either. He wants to be his own man point blank period!!!!!!!!

Why would he go back to school or go to another school? The NBA is an entertainment league and if a team like the spurs or Orlando (or any team) gets him every game home and road will be sold out and ticket sales will go up. I could see him being a solid role player in the league if he develops his game. The last name helps but Bronny seems like the type of kid that will put the work in.

If Bronny gets drafted it will be the biggest mistake in his life, his father’s life, the GM and owner who will draft him will be the biggest failure in NBA history. He clearly needed a few more years in college basketball. Summer league is going to destroy him. I have never seen anything from his time in HS or college that said WOW this kid is amazing. Just a regular HS player nothing special. I remember seeing LeBron when he was in HS and he had a game on ESPN. I was amazed. He was a pro playing with children. At that time the greats were showing up to see LeBron. I remember seeing an interview with MJ and he said this kid is going to be one of the greats. No one that I have seen has said anything close to this about Bronny. Imagine if MJ forced a NBA team to draft his sons? MJ owned his own team and never thought to sign his sons. This is crazy to me because Bronny is NOT a NBA talent.
