Slang is so based that if the script says Quaritch is working out, he gets on the floor at age 55 and starts doing pushups. 😁

I honestly believe that all of the avatr films are perfectly cast. Lang steals almost every scene he is in, but Jake's story isn't meant to be badass. Jake's story is one of connection, both in his body and to others.

Let's be honest. This casting is brilliant and this man has proven many times over now to be a fantastic actor. 👏
Even if Lang (who is actually a sweetheart and amazing family man in real life) came up to me and talked with that accent and authority, I’d be shaking in my boots and needing to change my drawers. He’s that good!
He’s in great shape damn
HE has the acting power of a 500 year experienced Military commander.
Legend!! He wasn't made for the role, the role was made for him
He really does have the presence and charisma of a Marine Corps Colonel
I’ve always found the characters to be the villains to be the most entertaining to watch.

Exactly, very monotonous voice here
@soratatami9070
Жыл бұрын
Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be though? The audition is just for the writers/producers to see if he fits the character using only few lines they prepared for the audition based off what might be said in the movie. Once they get the part, the actors study their roles more, imagine how the character thinks and acts, annotate their script to know where to emphasize their words, etc. and even the writers change the script overtime. Hence why the actual performance is better
@erikm9768
Жыл бұрын
@@soratatami9070 Yep 👍 not saying it ain’t so, and his final performance was amazing but it’s impossible to know how much of that was his own interpretation vs direction. I can also imagine some exceptionally talented actors can just provide more nuance during the audition.

So glad he was brought back
God damn he should have been Cable
Aside from the special effects, Lang is the best thing about these movies. Amazingly menacing performance
He's quite literally my company CO from my time in the FDF. Jesus, you'd think he was retired military based on this.
It's clear when you know Cameron's films that he obviously wrote the role for Michael Biehn, but Lang obviously walked straight into that audition and just OWNED this character.
Wowww just the first line I heard him you can tell its him. Its the perfect role for him.
He is one of the best. ESP when he talks to Jake like a father-son relationship but they both know it’s transactional
The best general. Real sigma
You can tell he got the character down better as time went on.
Stephen Lang would make the best bond villain ever.
"It's my job to keep you alive. I will not suceed... not with all of you." Damn, that was a strong line
He's got charisma for days
He really looks like his own younger avatar from the second movie... Incredible !
He was perfect for the role 💯
I actually met this dude. He signed my DVD copy of Avatar. A cool fella with a laid back attitude.
i am sooo glad they've chosen Lang for Quaritch ... love how his character turned out ❤️💪💪
Stephen Lang is amazing. I've been a fan since Tombstone. He has an intensity that is rarely matched!

I see why InfinityWard Studios casted him as a character in CoD Ghost. That game is so underrated. That intro scene where his character was story telling, it was phenomenal. Love to see Stephen Lang back to CoD someday.
