Arguing over the colour of shite.

In 2014 Scotland was told not to rely on oil and gas because it would run out in 50 year's time. It's now down to 40 years and the Tories are milking the industry. The oil and gas is not running out. New technology can drill deeper. That we daftie has got a cheek to disagree and argue with the SNP, Scotland is not interested in his politics. How can he sit there being smug when the majority of Scotland loath his party and England's catching on.

Englishman here :) Could I please ask a Scot, is the Daily Record the Scottish equivalent of the Daily Mail ie mostly appealing to the gammon? The comments are quite gammony but it would be good to get clarification. Thank you :)

I apologise for the previous answer to your question, we also have our fair share of narrow minded bigots. The Daily Record, is, like most of the MSM anti Scottish Independence, it continually plays down any Scottish success stories and plays up any perceived problems, constantly preaching that Scotland could not survive on its own. Unfortunately those with very litter knowledge of politics and economics believe this bullshit. Over the next 12 years we will see the DR ramp up the anti Scottish independence rhetoric.

Because of the 19p tax rate in Scotland 55% of Scottish taxpayers pay less income tax than in England. Also council tax and water rates to pay for the publicly owned Scottish water services are lower in Scotland than England. You also get back a lot more in Scotland for the taxes you pay. Things like free personal care for the elderly and young disabled people. Free university education. Free prescriptions. Free hospital parking. Free sanitary products for women, Baby box, £25 per week child payment. Bus passes for over 60 years old and under 22 year olds etc.

Who's England to be dishing out money? It's a United Kingdom not England. We all pay tax and not a handout to England to decide with. The Tories payed the DUP 2 billion to hoodwink into forming a coalition, billions squandered over the course of the pandemic, HS2 binned, the Boris bridge in London pathetic, Brexit destroys the UK and never attempted to close the border.
