    She is a Great woman. "God first family second." "We only work as a family if everybody does their part." Yes Dad, Mom and the kids are all there together but that still needs discipline (not beating, bashing and yelling at the children) but the establishing of a deep respect for order, for responsibility and for work... And the results are Amazing! "Two things you did right?" 1) "Trained them in the ways of the Lord 2) Emphasized family first."

    Michael Alando they had a fat bank account when raising their sons. There’s not as many cases of having money and then having unsuccessful children, it’s just a fact that most of the time you inherit your parents economic status. Most American families “have guidance from the lord” I don’t see them being successful. Money is the common denominator, here. Most families are family first. Most families are religious. Not all families have that kind of money. I’m a huge fan of Steph, but I don’t think that he is one of the greatest basketball players on the planet solely because his mom made him do the dishes and go to church.

  • @michaelalando

    @michaelalando

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@umeshnatesan2048 A bank account is like a baby. In the beginning, there is none whatsoever. Then it is born. Now, depending on how it is nurtured, fed with clean-earned, blessed money (not stolen or laundered drug money and so on) it will grow up healthy, strong and productive or it will grow malnourished and die. If one truly puts God first, taking *good* care of her husband and her husband taking *good* care of her with Godly respect, honor and love, the relationship, the family, the finances and other good things will follow. It all depends on one's spiritual perspective. Money alone cannot do it, believe me. www.google.com/search?q=percentage+of+NBA+layers+who+go+broke+5+years+after+retirement&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab The NBA like practically all other professional fields around the world produces a rather high percentage of financial and familial wreckage. There are individuals who made millions of tens of millions of dollars (even up to 100 million dollars in some cases) who are broke today and whose family life is a mess or even non-existent. You may need, Umesh, to rewind the clip and listen more carefully. Where did you get (A) "She made Steph do the dishes"?? or (B) she made Steph go to church?? Sonya says: If everyone plays their part, that is the only way they will be able to succeed as a family. And that is true. Mere church-going is mostly false and hypocritical. Do not be fooled by billy graham, benny hinn, t.d. jakes or the pope or the archbishop if cantebury or all the Bible-less church-going performed by billions all over the world. It has the appearance of worship but is mostly really empty hypocrisy. But as the Lord says: "16 You will know them by their fruits. Do people gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 *A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.* " You know a person who is really followed Christ by their results and Dell and Sonya Curry have produced stellar results. Where the Word is respected, things grow: Work, relationships, finances, family, love, strength, courage, integrity. Sonya says she *trained them in the ways of the Lord.* This is drastically different from going to church to listen to diluted and false misleading teachings (which actually come from the demons), and singing and dancing all day long (perhaps even all night long) doing the plenty of nothing that most "church-going" and religion entails. She took the Word of God (the commands in the Holy Bible) and not only *taught* but also *trained* her children in what Jesus would have them do and she raised them up that way. And it continues - see what she did when Steph cursed during that game? That is training in how one should speak before God because, despite what most people think and believe, *God is watching and listening all the time*. 2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD roam throughout the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is fully devoted to Him. Psalm 33:13 The LORD looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. Psalm 139:4 Even before a word is on my tongue, You know all about it, O LORD. Proverbs 5:21 For a man's ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and the Lord watches all his paths. Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, observing the evil and the good. *Churches generally do not teach these things to their members let alone train them to practice them* and that is why a lot of church-going produces mere thorns and thistles - failure. *Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.* 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it-not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it-*they will be blessed in what they do.* James 1:22-25

There are plenty of rich kids who ended up taking drugs, and alcohol, some even incarcerated. When you are raised with the awareness that you are accountable to God for your actions, it keeps you grounded. She is a great mom and I'm sure that her kids knkw that.

The wealth freed up her time and energy to devote to her kids. It's that simple. And, belief in god does not make you a good parent-in fact, many parents treat their children very poorly because of their fanatical belief in a diety and it's arbitrary rules.

    Demo B believing in god has no bearing on moral compass, money allowed her to instill values a completely non religious family would’ve instilled as well. Most families in America are religious. Most families in America are family-oriented. That’s not the common denominator of her children’s success. 50% of nba players right now are legacy. Money matters even when it pertains to moral compass. Because she didn’t have to worry about money she could stay home. I’m not saying that having money took away from her parenting in any way, it just made it easier for her.
