LeBron James “competes” between the out of bounds lines on the basketball court. Therefore he is criticizing the guy’s in-game drive…his actions & demeanor while in a professional capacity. Again, to me, that is professional and not personal. Had Charles said LeBron doesn’t want to compete because he was dating, and didn’t go on a second date with a girl he was interested in because she went on a date with another guy 3 days before…well, that would be personal and not professional.

No question. It’s not even a debate (imo). I may be wrong, but I think this is the only mistake LBJ’s made in his career (“the decision” maybe). this scene is a testament to the greatness of the show. you have barkley responding in an educated manner to the erroneous backlash he received for doing his job as an nba talkshow host. you have kenny describing how twitter will only put a spotlight on negative comments without reward or value placed on anything positive. you have ernie mediating who responds by facing his body toward em (amazing host). and you have shaq being sensitive, but still offering a much needed antagonistic perspective to go off of. everyone in this show is incredible

I absolutely agree. Even in a case where I think it’s pretty clear to say Shaq isn’t really taking a solidly reasoned position, he still offers the much needed counter, is plenty patient enough to let the other dudes finish their points, and has some legitimate basis to from his points (he’s done those things and he’s been in those positions)

Lebron made the statement because his team got worse while the best regular season team in NBA history just added the 2nd best player in the world. Lebron's not worried about the rest of the competition, the guy has owned the East since 2012, and he's only focused on Golden State and the Championship. Charles Barkley not thinking the Cavs needed more to beat the Warriors is still in the top 3 dumbest takes he's ever had. Later in the finals, despite Lebron being the first player in NBA history to average a 34-point triple-double on great efficiency, the Cavs got gentlemen swept in the finals against a Warriors team that ONLY LOST ONE GAME the entire postseason. There's a reason Chuck never won a ring, his philosophy is completely wrong. Like Shaq said, "Chuck doesn't know what it means to go back-to-back." If repeating was so easy why doesn't every team who wins the championship just bring everyone back and win it again. Absolutely ridiculous.

He's not called Sir Charles for nothing. He's always spot on. He's always honest - brutally, at times. But do not ... DO NOT call him out. He will verbally cut you down in a way that you won't even realize it until 5 minutes later. To paraphrase Sir Charles in reference to Jerry Rice's taunt, "You go home to your rings. I go home, and I'm still Charles Barkley." As Don Meredith would sing, "Turn out the lights. The party's over."

Usually I don't watch these guys, but that was a good discussion.

No cap on Barkley's side. Excellent guy all around. His take on LeBron is real and true. He speaks the truth as it is. Also always makes us laugh 🤣🤣🤣.
