34 is old in the NBA, especially if you have been a Superstar guard in the NBA. If you take the top 20 pgs of all time, none of them were the best player on a contending team after the age of 32. If we count ALL guards, Jordan is the only guard to win a Championship as the best player on his team after the age of 32. With this said, Curry so far looks to be the best player ever to play at 34 years of age. This isn't normal. Out of the 3,000 plus NBA players who have ever played past 34 years old, only Jordan and LeBron have a legitimate argument at being better than Steph when they were 34, but only Jordan has won more Chips as the best player on his team after turning 34

Yo DoubleDworth another stat you should look at is TPA. Steph Curry has the most TPA so far at 129.9, Luka is second at 125.9 and third is Jokic at 89.1, so this shows you how insane of an impact and how incredible his performance is right now. Curry has added 115.4 OPA which is offensive points added and no other player has added more than 100. Also his DPS which is defensive points saved is at 14.4 which just shows us how great he is as well on the defensive end. This stat shows people that Curry IS an above average defender and it debunks all those critics who claim he doesn’t play defense or make an impact on that side of the ball.

Steph’s conditioning is peak athlete for what he does. He’s probably as physically strong as he’s ever been. And his game has always been based on skill over athleticism anyway. No reason his offensive efficiency will fall off, aside from a slump at some point (which he’s absolutely skilled and dedicated enough to his craft to negate)

The volume almost certainly isn't sustainable but the efficiency very well might be. If the team starts to turn things around as they seemed to against the Knicks then he won't have to work this hard. I'd rather he had a less spectacular personal season if the trade off is a better performing team that peaks for the playoffs and gives us a decent chance to repeat.

What is Stephen Curry good at? Quick release, ball handling and off ball movement. Ray Allen who is pretty much a catch and shoot guy didn't see his 3pt drop until 38. JJ didn't see his percentage drop significantly after 36. So Steph is going to shoot until 36 and beyond. Since he is never a slasher or an explosive player, he relies more on change of pace than quickness. I think his game will age extremely well. However, Kerr needs to control his minutes because as we get older, we get more injury prone and it takes bodies more time to recover.

It's kind of a shame that this performance probably won't get the attention and credit it is supposed to because his team is not winning games. I kind of hate this mentality, that you have to be on a winning team in order to be acknowledged. He himself is playing on a historic level for some time now and still getting better, despite being the focal point of defenses and playing on a team that has had stretches during which it has been downright bad.

It actually is for NBA players esp superstars or franchise players. You usually see a decline in aging player's efficiency and consequently you minimise their usage to prevent injury or fatigue and sub them for younger guys. That is why they're called the veterans and usually play restricted minutes. It's also why the league usually push and hype new young superstars once the older ones age past 32. Arguably, only MJ and LeBron aside from Steph has enjoyed international popularity and success past the age of 32. Kobe's last championship was 2010 where he was 31 and despite showcasing flashes of brilliance in the coming years, he never got the Lakers another Finals. Nowitzki did win a ring in 2011 at age 33 but he's never been internationally popular enough to be argued the face of the NBA (he was the face of the Mavs but then they got Luka) and you can see his decline in efficiency and usage leading to his retirement. The same goes with Tony Parker and Tim Duncan who last won a ring in 2014, aged 32 and 37, respectively. Tl;dr 34 IS old for NBA players especially ones who are considered superstars. What's more impressive is that Curry is going against the history of aging players and is still improving in efficiency.

Stephan Curry is no longer an MVP. MVP stands for Most Valuable 'Player', and that requires the person to still be a human being.

If you take the top 5 wwe wrestlers and the top 5 nba players and switch their jobs I still think NBA players would have trouble doing pro wrestling then pro wrestlers having trouble playing in the NBA (: specially when you watch NBA games where someone is always open bc NBA players defense is terrible
