Jack, that whole speech you gave about having someone there talking in the background for people who just need another voice in the room who are going thru hard times is one of the biggest reasons why I have nothing but absolute respect for you. On KZread, it is EXTREMELY hard to find Big KZreadrs with fucktons of subscribers who just be themselves, and don't put on a facade or a fake persona. And that's why I respect you. You actually ARE the real deal. You don't try to fake reactions. You don't try to overhype or overrate games more than they really are. You just be your honest self. Sure, you do make a lot of references, and some people may find that to be tedious, but in reality, you're still just being yourself. And that is by far, the best thing you can do on KZread to get people to follow you. When people who have talked to you say "I've talked to "X" before, and he sounds and talks exactly the same Off-Camera as he does in his videos!". That kinda shit is how you know someone is truly a legit KZreadr who does nothing else but Be Themselves and aren't ashamed of anything about themselves. And ontop of being yourself, you actually care for people too. Your speech at the end of "The Static Speaks My Name" basically spoke for itself. Keep doing what you're doing, Jack. Neverending Nightmares revolves around Thomas Smith, a young man who is suffering from a seemingly-endless string of nightmares (hence the title). Another character, Gabby, is introduced as Thomas' little sister, and frequently appears in his nightmares, occasionally changing roles. At turning points in the game, Thomas finds Gabby dead in various situations; Thomas himself also dies in his nightmares, sometimes by his own hand, though this only leads him to wake up in yet another nightmare. i cant belive someone have illusions like that in real life too =(

The developers, actually, did really well when they came up with a character with his shortness of breath. Because he is, like, in a neverending dream (or, basically, nightmare). So, the question is... how often did you have to run fast from something in a dream, but in the end it's turning out that you were standing still or moving, like, REALLY slowly? Your mind is a trickster. It tricks you into thinking there’s a person/object staring at you from the far corner. Waiting for you to wake up and come to the dark corner to attack/take you. It also makes you see unrational things or hear things. For example it makes you feel like there is something under your bed but when you check there is nothing there. Or it makes you imagine there is someone banging on the window but it is just a tree branch. Your mind controls everything. Your hearing, the way you feel, what you see, and etc. I believe if a neurologist and a psychologist could create a horrifying game. You know how scary games mostly include of porcelain dolls, mannequins or dark areas where it is hard to see (but normal people make these games so it has a certain intensity). Because those things capitalizes on basic fears, like unknown causes or not knowing your surroundings, and that can be terrifying. So imagine if a neurologist and psychologist would make a horror game that would be to intense for you to handle. My reason is because a neurologist studies the brain and a psychologist studies how you react and behave to certain things they also study the brain. But neurologist would be able to use the knowledge of how people think to capitalize on fear. But also psychologist study the human and how it works, from psychoanalysis to behaviorism, and they overall would have a better understanding of the mind in relations to human thought processes, patterns, behaviors, and etc. Neurologist study the mind but in a more cellular, bodily functioning way. They look at how the brain works itself, etc. But yea, a game created by a psychologist would be pretty terrifying. Especially if you dive into controversial experiments. And a neurologists game would be terrifying as well.

I had this one dream where I was in a dark room. It wasn't pitch black but it was pretty dark. It was empty and I was sitting in a corner just rocking back and forth repeatedly. Repeating the words "don't blink. He will hurt you if you blink" And there was a shadow figure of some sort in front of me.....watching me and staring...he had a dead goat skull of some sort. Or maybe a dead cow....something along that line. He was just...there he didn't do anything and I didn't know his name. Then I blinked and I woke up....Scary as all hell if you ask me. BTW sorry for wasting your time...

Forgive me for analyzing your nightmare, but perhaps your dream is a fear of sin. The dead goat's head is often times associated with Satan and hell. And the empty room could possibly be referring to possibly your mental state (or in my case) the sort of pointlessness of your fear. Nothing in the room to be afraid of. It's illogical. Again, I'm sorry for analysing your dream, it was just what I thought of when I first read your comment.

That goat reminds me of a SCP and it appears in dreams and then slowly you begin to see him in real life and when you die (hope fully of age) he we be there right next to you seconds before you die...sweet dream :)

Sean, I know this video is really old {a year} so idk if u read these still as you see them, but when you just said "hello I'm Jack. I will be your friend,," that was the best thing I could hear at the moment. A lot has happened and friends, well, "friemds" have started hating me because I am going to another highschool. I just really needed a friend and whenever I feel like that, I watch your horror games because you seem to always say something like "I'm here," or I will read comments saying "I if your scared just look at Jack," and I just feel better. If you see this, just know I appreciate you and never will forget you. I have watched you from the start and will not leave you until either you end KZread or I die early and really young. I know how you feel about the friend thing all my friend hate me now because someone hacked into my face book and told all of my "friends" that I hated them and that was not true, then my boyfriend started to cheat on me with my worst enemy, I deactivated my Facebook but the hacker made ma New account and said it was me... I like the sketchy blackness coming up from the bottom of the screen constantly and how the shadows always envelop him. That's exactly how it feels like. Plus, the always being out of breath. This game is v realistic.

I feel as if people really simplify what OCD is, and people like to self-diagnose it a lot. “Omg I’m actually OCD, and there isn’t as much black tiles as there are white! Ahhh quirky lol!”

My nightmare: I walk downstairs, all dark and in my pajamas. I walked to the front room and saw a girl in a white dress and hair covering her face( like sadako?) she draws a knife from somewhere inside her dress, then she walks towards me. I can't move. I remember trying to scream but not being able to. The girl then starts stabbing me, over and over again... I wake up screaming and run down the stairs to my mother and father crying. I was 7 at the time....... So should I go to therapy now or next week?

You woke up after you died because your brain has no idea what life is like after death. I had a dream last night where I could’ve died but I was scared to wake up cause I thought I would see something so I changed it to where I didn’t dream at all. I end up being uncomfortable and fake sleep so nothing can get me and sleep when the sun is out. Edit:also you couldn’t move or scream in your dream because some dreams give you sleep paralysis and basically it makes you see things that aren’t there and you can’t move or get help.

Its called Sleep Paralysis. Your body is fully asleep but your brain isn't. It is thinking that it seeing wierd things like the things you saw.

I kind of understand the inspiration for this game. Every couple years, I have a nightmare; it is always the same nightmare. I look around, not knowing who I am or where I am. I feel a sense of panic even know I never know what is going on. I end up running from something I don't see, I'm running in the darkness and can only hear my own breathing. Eventually, I see a light and keep running towards it. When I reach the light, I wake up. My heart is always beating extremely quickly. I don't truly understand why I have this dream, or what it means (and I don't think I ever will), but I hope that, someday, I will solve the puzzle. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.

This is honestly why I love Sean's videos. Especially when Sean talks to us in his video(s). Giving advice, sharing his personal experiences, or simply having a good time. I feel like I'm having a conversation with a friend when I listen to him. When I'm having a bad day I always watch his videos!

I went through really bad depression (and minor hallucinations) when I was a kid, so hearing Jack say he'll "be our friend for the day" is kind of heartwarming ^;^

After thinking of Jack's "Neverending Nightmares" playthrough, I realized I haven't seen it and I can't sleep. So here I am.

I had a dream once when I died in a car accident and then I switched to the point of view of some doctors and they tried to bring me back to life but it didn't work because my body got completely crushed by the wheel. (The worst thing is, I was 5 at the time.)

Hi Jack, I really like your videos because they calm me down when I'm angry. I have been having some family issues recently as my dad is drinking a lot and I'm away from my mum. I once dreamed that I died horribly but I didn't wake up just started dreaming that I was a ghost and almost everyone forgot about me and the only person who could hear me hated me and was trapped at school waiting for my dad to pick me up but he was never coming because I was dead

I know this is a 2 years old comment but, I had an almost same dream except I was in Hell and it's very dark I keep calling out for help and it was horrible, and the worst part is when I woke up I didn't actually woke up fully but I can hear my family but I cam't move my body then I can't breath thank God I manage to snap out of it.

I had a dream where I died and for literal centuries I carried on as a ghost, and when everyone who ever knew me died or forgot me, I faded out of existence. It was a lot more horrifying that I stayed in a dream for what felt like that long.

i had a dream whaere i killed me

My nightmare: I had a dream where I was a phyciatrist at a asylum. I had a dangerous prisoner who escaped. I saw her and she hit me with a bat. I woke up in a long hallway to get to the end, open a door to see myself hanging from the ceiling. I blacked out and opened my eyes. I was the crazy patient, I was so shocked I hung myself. Should I go to therapy?

Since this comment section i all about fears, and incidents, allow me to share one incident too please... I once was sleeping, and i woke up as normal, so when i tried getting up, i couldn't. I swear i was using all my strength but i couldn't...But after a while i let it overcome me, and then i somehow got up easily then. Can someone please explain me this? I myself often dream about being stranded alone in the middle of the ocean, That is due to my thalassophobia (Fear of the ocean) some people dream about being diegnosed with terminal illnesses, AKA, ALS, Alzheimer's, ECT (Monopathophobia)

Ah this game is so nostalgic for me. I have been through some very serious depression and I can relate to so much in this game. I am still going through these issues to this day and your videos Sean/Jack has helped me so much. Thank you for being a part of my life even though we don't know each other of course, and thank you for supporting us fans and you will have our support.

Jack, i've had many a messed up dream, from sleep paralysis to living multiple lives constantly being chased and attacked, to like a lion or something chasing me off a cliff, falling off buildings and "dying" where my body phases through the ground. one of the strangest and personally troubling ones though was being in a kind of old fashioned type plane, and having my father push me out, essentially killing me while yelling out "you need to find Lutetium Vanedium, two elements which eerily spell LuV (love). oh yeah, nightmares can be effed up, especially with people like me who already essentially have nightmares while awake, i guess the "dark/negative" version of daydreams. another dream that i remember quite clearly from my childhood is being paralysed on the floor, barely able to look around and just vaguely able to see shadowy like figures standing around me, whispering stuff that sounded like tv/radio static mixed with a kind of breathing/wind noise. I absolutely love watching your videos, horror or otherwise, horror is good for me to kind of experience the creepiness factor with, as you said, a little voice in the corner just talking. many many thanks for all your truly funny, original, inspirational videos and characteristics. I won't say never change because change is how we all evolve and develop, but certainly keep up the amazing job you are doing, bringing happiness and comfort to so many people's lives, including my own

A nightmare I get about once or twice a year truly terrifies me. It usually comes in the early spring, or mid-fall. But back to my nightmare, it's one of those nightmares where you are aware that you're asleep and you're dreaming, but instead of it being cool, it's utterly TERRIFYING. I'm completely aware that I'm dreaming, and every time(these nightmares have been going on since 3rd grade) that I've gotten one, I go into instant panic. Also, as soon as I realize that I'm dreaming, my body paralyzes. I'm very very VERY self-aware, but I can't seem to move AT. ALL. I know it doesn't sounds bad, but to me, it's pure, sheer terror. Worst part? The last nightmare I had like this, I actually tried CALLING FOR HELP. But I could move my mouth, and all that came out was that weird noise that you get get if you just open your mouth and do that thing with your vocal chords. Strangely, that last nightmare was back in the fall of 2014. After that, they stopped, but all of a sudden, ever

since then, I've become acutely aware that I'm dreaming in my dreams. Luckily, they don't turn into nightmares, but I am able to control what happens. It's basically a lucid dream, but it still frightens me. You see....now whenever I dream, I'm subconsciously aware I'm dreaming and I'm able to just think "what if blah blah happened and blah blah" and it happens. I'm also able to remember EVERY. DETAIL. The dream is literally so vivid, that it seems it HAS to be real, and it's just some memory that I can't remember where it came from. But within the last few months, I haven't been having any dreams at all, but if I am, I can't remember any of them. Oh, and another thing. Before about December(2015), every time I set my alarm to wake up for anything, my body would wake me up automatically a few minutes before it went off. Not strange right? Yes, it's kind of strange, because I sometimes set the alarm to different times, sometimes hours apart. Idk, this all freaks me out...

I don’t understand why these horror games with Jack make me feel so much better when I’m down.

That whole thing about having a voice in the back for comfort or for noise and all that is something I took to heart when these came out bc yeah, life was real tough for a while back then and these videos really really helped me out when I needed it most. Now, things are much much better but sometimes I go back a rewatch some the old series on the channel for fun while I do stuff

The creepiest nightmare I can remember was a rather unique one...as in I was "awake" during it. I woke up, feeling groggy, tired, and very thirsty. I walked to the kitchen to get a glass of tea, but hideous monsters formed around me. What I find creepy is how I just walked by them. I ignored the disturbing figures, and got my tea. I was perfectly calm in that nightmare, and I don't understand why...The monsters looked terrifying, but I find it scarier how I acted.

I had been thinking about this series for the past few months but could not for the life of me remember the title of the game. So glad I just finished rewatching Fran Bow and this popped up under related videos. Rewatching this, I listen to Jack say at the beginning "I get messages from people saying that they're going through hard times and my videos help them." and "lots of people just want a voice in the background to listen to, and don't even watch the episode." DAMN I felt that... I remember when this video was released. I was in a hotel room in another country while my dad was unconscious and dying in the hospital right across the street. We were there for a week, and I remember how I'd lie in my hotel room bed and watch this to distract myself from everything happening.... It was the perfect voice in the background for me during this time. I even remember taking a quick nap while watching this. Honestly, thank you. You have really been able to pick me up in some of my most down moments these past 6 years (WAAAAAA ITS BEEN 6 YEARS??) that i've been watching your videos. You truly are an amazing person!!

I love Jack's longer let's plays. I have a lot of trouble falling asleep, and his videos are one of the few things that helps my mind focus on one thing so I can sleep.

But when Sean said that some people like his episodes on in the background, it is true for me cause I can’t sleep without noise sometimes so I fall asleep to his lets plays. But also living alone it helps me not feel so alone. So thanks Sean for making such great videos :)

i must be more depressed than i normally am because when Jack talked about having a voice to listen to in the background and having a friend to hang out with for the day i almost started crying. These types of playthroughs by you really help bring comfort to me in some of my worst times.
