That practice became known as “Redboxing”, if I recall correctly. You could make calls for free that way, due to the way the tone worked in the system. It’s been a while since I read about this last though, so correct me if I’m wrong.e

When I was younger, I had to have my KZread monatered. I remember not being allowed to watch Jack, so I would hide in my closet. This was the first series I watched under my parents nose. I felt so scared and happy while watching these videos.

This game will always be one of my favorites. The wackiness and sleekness of the style was always so striking to me, and the odd humor shaped my style. I will always hold it near and dear to my heart. Long live the incredible wackiness of Jazzpunk.

I'm pretty sure that the director that Jack is referencing is Steven Spielberg. The opening credits of his movie adaption of "The Adventures of Tintin" had an opening sequence that resembled the opening to this game (albeit, with less flashing light sequences).

For anyone wondering about the whistle in the cereal box: There was an infamous hacker who discovered that the plastic whistles in cereal boxes would produce a tone that activated pay phones. He was given the title "Captain Crunch". This is correct from what I know.

I just realized that some of the strange things you see are likely just side effects of the medicine you take at the beginning of each mission (as it states take before each mission or until reality is sufficiently augmented) it’s augmenting your perception of reality which is why people don’t react to some of the events that occur (like the water rising in the director’s office)

I love the style of the game, it's Atomic Age mixed with the 60's the Mod art style in it and a hint of modern style. It's hard to explain but I LOVE all things 20th century, I might get this game lmao. I studied 20th century for years :)

Love that the ice alarm shoots fire, and when you get burned you see the health meter from Goldeneye. Brilliant game, still one of the most clever and creative things I've ever played and we're five-ish, six-ish years removed!

So I knew what this game looked like.. and I knew I watched someone play it. Took me TWO YEARS and here I am. I found the game title and the series I watched. 6 YEARS AGO?!

I first watched this when I was 10 yrs old and now that I'm 18 I just love coming back to rewatch it.
