I have been studying official Yang Family Tai Chi for years, and am hoping to start getting ready to test for the first rank. This video appears to follow what we study in class perfectly, and I have found it to be very helpful while practicing and trying to remember my 103 form. Thank you!

Thank you for this step by step walk through, I’m preparing for my level 1 (copper eagle) test and this is a great help. You talk through each move clearly and slowly so it’s very easy to follow… 🙂

Recht gut aber leider Fehler drin, ist vielleicht dem geschuldet, das die es eventuell noch nicht lange praktiziert. Aber sonst geht es

There was a break in my practice before I filmed this video. It is not my best performance but I made this to help students with voice cues so that they could practice without having to watch someone the whole time. Tai Chi is a lifelong journey and I love that every day I learn more and more, and I will continue learning until the day my energy returns to the universe 🌟

This comment is a good reminder than no one is perfect including me. My goal is to spread my love of Tai Chi so that more people will practice and feel the amazing benefits of Tai Chi, and just because my form is not perfect does not mean that it is not worthy of sharing my love of this ancient art. This video was made as a guide for people to listen to as they practice so that one day they are able to perform the form on their own without having to follow a video or someone in person. My teaching methods come directly from Grand Master Yang Jun, the current lineage holder in the Yang family, and although I have room for improvement I am always striving to learn more and honor the Yang family to the best of my ability as a certified Yang family Instructor.

As a teacher and forever student of this ancient art it is important to learn from our imperfections so that we may continually improve. It is within our imperfections that we can strive to learn and deepen our knowledge through daily practice. Tai Chi is a lifelong journey my friend and it takes many years for our form to become what the Yang family considers standard. My goal is to share my love of Tai Chi while continuing to progress in my own training, and seeing ourselves through a video is a great way for us to learn. I encourage all of my students to video themselves so that they can see themselves from the outside perspective and see what others like yourself might see. Thank your comment and I hope that your love of Tai Chi continues to deepen.
