Thank you. I myself started stringing recently, and I've basically followed your instructions and suggestions to a T :) I bought a Gamma Progression II ELS from W & D Strings (on your recommendation), and it's working like a charm, so thank you again! Any thoughts on tying off mains on mains, and crosses on crosses?

My thoughts on tie offs is it does not matter. If doing a hybrid I will tie poly to poly and gut to gut.

and no starting clamp on the first pull , we just received this machine and the clamps are mint condition.

I forgot to put it on. I personally use the method when stringing multi or natural gut. For poly I only do it for the videos.

Hey Herb I’ve been watching your videos for some time and just started stringing. I can never get all of the slack out while doing the knots and it makes the tension of the strings go down quite drastically. Do you have any times for this.

There are several videos out there that address knots. Make sure you are pulling the knot along the string to pull out the slack, and the up and back, like an arc, to tighten and keep the slack out.

Hey Herb, I just started stringing and was wondering what you do for replacing individual grommets for customers. Do I have to order the grommets for each specific racket?

No. You can order RAB Fittex grommets newtechtennis.com/rab-fittex-grommets-rabfg-tennis-accessories-racquet.html just order the l9nger ones and you can cut them down to size.

I use the Diabolo for multi and natural gut. It is fine not to use it. Not all machines even have one. Time saving is very minimal. Maybe save a second or two per pull.

is your knot tension 10 percent ?

ok thanks also the blue badminton retainers on the throat piece i strung a badminton racquet with only one trouble is 1 broke off where can i get these ? directly from Wilson ?
