Comprehensive and easy to understand, highly recommend for newbies to watch! Remember as well newbies, if you have a particularly important choke point, you can level up a general to place on your fortress habitat/world that will buff your defenses further! Genius armorer on admiral also buffs platforms if I recall.

Thanks man, this is exactly what I was looking for. Been playing Stellaris for a while now but I never min/max or got too deep into the systems, I just like to roleplay my empires. That said, I am getting tired of my hard work getting destroyed by the freaking Khan or an Awoken FE

Well, it's another way to play but looking at how rude the AI has become with the 3.8 i can only say i definitely should give a try at this strategy ! It looks like a good path to follow until cruisers are unlocked, avoiding building corvettes that will be useless fast 🤔

why not ruination glare? 50% extra range on starbases means its range malus is negated!
