Fun thing is 2.0 had very little lag compared to future versions became tile system worlds could have 25 pops max.

one time I saw a army head to a planet to invade and they were fairly evenly matched so as they were fighting I took the system and cracked the world because I was at war with both

I remember breaking the Contingency by using a deluge colossus and turning the machine world into an ocean world then trying to invade with troops. Not only did it not work, it bugged the game and now no one can win forever

Contingency machine worlds can't be invaded. They have to be bombed into oblivion or destroyed with a planet killer weapon. Maybe reequiping your colossus with a world cracker and then using it on it, should probably work.
