Stellantis forced to cope with having too much inventory in Metro Detroit
Auto industry profits have soared since the end of the pandemic. The highest sales and monthly payment rates ever recorded were achieved as inventories stayed low. But, as we well know around here, business can change on a dime.

Aww😢. That's tragic. I guess I'll just have to take 3 off your hands Stelantis... NOT!
The current business model in the auto industry seems problematic. Many manufacturers prioritize profit over quality, often using cheaper materials at the expense of the consumer. It's frustrating for those of us who work hard and want to reward ourselves with a car purchase, only to receive a mediocre product. This situation is unfair to consumers.
The first mfgr. that does away with engines you cant service yourself. That does away with 75% of the needless sensors, does away with electric windows, electric seats, blue tooth, cruise control, sound systems, family seating, sunroofs, flat screens, anything less than a true 8" bed, aluminum construction, steering wheel controls, automatic transmissions, will make trillions!!!!!

Reminds me of the guys whinging about seat belts back in the 1960s. They'll add $10 to the price of the car! Who needs them? Pansies!

@@donwyoming1936 Whinging....really whinging.....I just want a work truck to be a work truck again. They obliterated the Jeep too. Off road vehicles for people who never go off road.
Maybe stop overcharging for junk dodge rust the worst
Manufacturing problems during and after the pandemic created shortages, which caused a surge in prices because demand was outstripping supply. Now that manufacturing problems have abated, supply is outstripping demand. As always, this is a management problem. Factory management only has one goal. To produce as many vehicles as possible. They don't care what or how many are selling. That is head offices's and dealer's problem. It's not a sign of economic problems, it's a sign of conflicting management issues.
I bought a 2017 Ram for $38,500 plus taxes. The msrp on the window sticker was $66,000. So a $5000 rebate on a $80,000 Ram doesnt seem like a deal at all. I guess they will stay sitting in the sun baking.
how dare you out do china's over capacity ! gotta slap on some more tariffs on Chinese cars that's not even here yet to keep the American car prices sky high
Nice file footage. Unfortunately, the lot you were looking at was a staging line for accessories at its assembly plant in Sterling Heights. Next time get it right

They are masters at deception. This is t even real media, it’s basically controlled. No freedom of the press.
This all sounds like a sales advertisement
$4000 off a Jeep or a Grand Cherokee if like the typical department store sale where they mark everything up 50% then take off 20%…
Huh. 90k for a pick up truck before the intrest I mean.
Wait till November, they will be giving them away for free
If you pay $85 to a $100K for a pickup 🛻 or an SUV, then you have to live in it🤣🤣! 💰💵💸💪🙏
It's what happens when you raise prices 30% and have abysmal quality. If they want to actually sell them, drop the prices by the 30%+ increase and significantly improve quality.
Interest rates are through the roof. Thank joe for that
UAW made the cost up on a new contract. Good going UAW.
“Stellantis” sounds like an ED medicine. “Don’t take Stellantis if you are allergic to Stellantis or any of its ingredients”. “If you have an erection lasting longer than 4 hours while taking Stellantis, make sure you and your partner stay hydrated”.
No hemi’s, no challengers, no chargers. What the hell did they think was going to happen 😂
$30k for a car? You people are CRAZY! I paid $160 for a 1992 GMC Pickup at a tow auction in 2018 and put this truck into commercial service with 320k on the clock and it has 525k on it now. Yes i have replaced nearly every moving part on the truck in that time but all that work has cost me about $7k. So.. $7k for 200k miles of service across 6 years..... The reduction in insurance costs for this 30 year old vehicle vs a new one has covered the $7k and then some....Stop throwing vehicles away! You are throwing your money away! Get one out of the 'trash' and save yourself THOUSANDS!

The vast majority of people have no idea how to work on a vehicle, let alone have the tools to do so.

@billymacktexasdetective5827 I know how to work on cars pretty good I'm not a master mechanic or anything but what I don't have is $4,000 to get a rebuilt transmission so I had to get a new vehicle. Especially if you have a older vehicle with a pretty specific part that's hard to find.
I've owned all of the big 3 cars including Chrysler/Dodge 3 times. Even a 75% off sale wouldn't put me back in one of those autos, including Jeep.

Unneeded cash is an oxymoron...
Great news. All automobile prices need to come down at least 50%
