    Thank you Steve. You saved me. I bought a 2022 Explorer and was struggling to learn how to use all the buttons, bells (literally) and whistles. So many new features to learn. Thanks again.

    How does the speedometer show in harsh sunlight? I have an 2011 Escape and want to go back to an Explorer but living in Arizona the sun density makes the dash difficult to see. I've tried every setting. Time to get a new Ford so wanted to check this out before I get into it. 2022 or 2023. Thanks Steve

    I don't know anyone that's ever run into visibility issues! Even when shooting videos on the Explorer lineup it was still visible on bright days. Your best bet would be to take one for a quick spin when the sky is cloud free in Arizona! I think you'll be surprised at the difference from your 2011 Escape

    I just picked up a rental. I have no screen options except calm. If I click menu>select screens it has nothing else in list except for calm. I want to get a trip and economy screen. Is it in a locked out mode? I get no information beside odometer and distance to empty.

    What is the thing that looks like a line scale on the instrument cluster, top right. It just lines and a blue line that varies its position.

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    It's exactly that.. a variable line position based on which screen is shown. It's there to let you know what "page" number of the screen you're on

    how do I operate the 360 camera on my 2023 ford limited Explorer? How do I turn it on?

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    5 ай бұрын

    If your Explorer has the 360 camera the button is just to the left of the tuning rocker under the media screen. You'll see 3 buttons.. 1 with a "P" for disabling the parking sensors, 1 for your 4 ways and then a camera button

    Hello, how do you set the cruise control?

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    2 жыл бұрын

    It's covered off in the video but a quick rundown assuming you have adaptive cruise control: (Using the pad on the left side of the steering wheel) Top right button turns the system on Top left button is distance indicator (how close/far are you from the vehicle in front) Middle left is lane centering (keeps you balanced in your lane) Turn the system on, then once you reach the desired speed press up on the middle switch to set your speed. You can then move that switch up and down to increase/decrease your speed!

    Hi Steve. Are the drive modes same as intelligence all wheel I.e. slippery, tow etc?

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    Жыл бұрын

    Intelligent all wheel will push power to the wheels on each axle as it’s needed. The different drive modes will play with the traction control, stability control and shift points depending on what mode you’re in Probably a good idea to do a video on this!

    Can I use normal cruise control (without adaptive) ? I have 2016 dodge durango and looking to buy 2022 Limited explorer but if I cannot use normal cruise I will buy the pathfinder

    Yes, you can use regular cruise control with the Explorer. There's an option through the infotainment system to change between traditional or adaptive cruise

    @@CarsWithSteve Thank you so much for your fast reply I just tested drive Toyota highlander and there is no option to use normal cruise control and the adaptive cruise is impossible to use inside the city since everyone is cutting me off. I use cruise allll day long because we have soo many speed cameras I am thinking between 3 options 1- Keep the citadel durango and fix it (I am having fuel pump issue it has 128k KM on it) and buy 2023 Toyota crown premium for around 42.6k$ and use the crown most of the time 2- sell the durango and buy stored 2022 Limited explorer for 48k$ with 0 miles on it but might have to change the tires (new 2023 will be almost 60k $ and nothing changed) 3- Sell the durango and buy 2023 Nissan pathfinder for 60.53k$ (It has NA engine which will last longer- ZF gearbox but the price is too much for a Nissan) Which would u chose?

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    You're welcome! I use adaptive cruise control all the time as well but do find it frustrating with the way other people drive. Fixing is always a cheaper option short term so it'll depend on whether you think it'll get much more life after the fix. I'd be a little wary of any 2 year old vehicle with no miles on it.. was it regularly started up and run to make sure the fluids were moving? The battery will probably have to be replaced and hopefully no critters nested or munched on wires. I'm in a Pathfinder next week for the first time so can't say for sure how much I'll like it.. but I was just in the Infiniti QX60 which is a fancy Pathfinder and really enjoyed it

    5:15 - That whole trend where it looks like automakers are gluing an iPad onto the dash, just kills me. Makes a car look so much less premium. As if the infotainment is just an afterthought.

    I've found the integrated screens to be a bit tacky sometimes too though. It's all in how it's built in or placed. I remember when I was all about flip up screens but haven't seen a good one done from a manufacturer
