we in late 50's have not bought a new car in many years we bought the Explorer ST BLACK ON BLACK WE LOVE IT!
OMG! I did it. I can't believe I did it. 🤩I love it. Yesterday, 06/17/23, I did something I thought I never would. I traded a 2021 Dodge Charger R/T for a 2023 Ford Explorer XLT. No, the speed and horsepower isn't there, but honestly, I never drove the Charger to it's capable limits. I'm in my late 50's. I don't drive like a teen anymore, so the change, I believe, will be worth it. One thing's for sure. When I called my insurance agent from the Ford dealership and gave her the vin, she said that my premium dropped over $200.00 dollars. As of this post, I've only had it about twenty-four hours. But stay tuned. I'll keep you posted.

@Spartansrule118 Nothing. I did end up buying one myself though. Went with the timberline package. So far I love it. Only 600 miles so far. I may put out an update video myself when I hit the one year mark.

@@Spartansrule118 Yes. Still lov'n it.
I just got an older Explorer Limited, If it quits my next vehicle will be an Explorer Platinum in spite of the fact I can't remember which button does what. I am impressed.
Dad still has a 97 expedition running all original. You can't get that kind of reliability anymore. My sister's 2016 explorer transmission problems twice.
I’m shopping around looking at 2023 Ford Explorer XLT. My first car was a ‘98 Explorer XLT. And I couldn’t have been more happy with it… til it rusted out on me. :( BUT! I’m very impressed that the 2023 well, all the explorers have kept their charm! They look meaner of course but my heart will always be with my red ‘98 XLT. 😢❤
I think we've reached a point where vented seats should be standard across trims, it isn't neither hard to implement nor uses expensive parts.
Like the video. Do all cars have to have sunroofs. not crazy about them?
I love my 2023 ford explorer XLT

What about the 6 Recalls?
Hallo. Auch in Deutschland verfügbar 🤔. Das wehre gut 😊
No price? What about lumbar seat for front passenger?
Agree that an Explorer XLT is a good truck. That's why I still have my '98! Could use a couple of the newer inventions, but all together too much complicated tech on most all cars since say, 2010. Mine can be fixed & maintained for much cheaper and faster. And I'm one of those who love the 90s styling.

January 2024 I just bought a 2023 Ford Explorer XLT and I love it !!!!!!! I’ll never trade it in that’s for sure !!!!!!!!!! I’d always wanted one. Kinda wanted one with a moonroof but I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase !!!!!!!!!!!!
i dont think this car is good because i had a 2021 ford explorere limited AWD as a rental car and inside the door was rattling at 40mph and the drivers seat window wasnt closing and the chrome on the inside of the vehicle was peeling

I agree. I have a 2020 explorer XLT and it SUCKS. The ONLY time i enjoy (or not really enjoy but tolerate) the drive is on the highway. Driving this car in the city is unbearable. From the inconsistent, touchy, brake by wire brakes, the cheap interior, rattles, to the FUCKING GARBAGE 10 speed auto. A 1 second google search will give you endless results of everyone complaining about the transmission. There is a huge problem with them. Let's say for every 10,000 explorers on the road, 250 of them have no issues. Everyone else does. From the insane jerky shifts, lunging in and out of gears, terrible shift program built into the TCM, it's just a terrible car. Unfortunately i leased mine so i have to wait about 7 more months before i can give it back. I would've went back and leased an explorer ST when this one was finished but after experiencing this, forget it. I rather get a tesla now.

It's a hit or miss like all vehicles. Today I test drove a 2017 xlt and it was badass and no rattling.

@@eddieh3580 Mine wasn't a rental. I leased it and it was the biggest mistake ever. Btw, i did give it back since it was due anyway. I have a model s plaid now. Talk about 2 totally different cars. And i already got my first speeding ticket. In almost 20 years lol. It's a good feeling to know nothing on the road will ever beat you. I guess i'm spoiled now.
The company can limit your fwd by warranty
The 10 speed transmission is well know for its' transmission issues. Very rough shifting and very jerky. Before you buy, do exhausted searching on this issue. Don't just trust one or two reviewers - do your homework. Also, do a long test drive at very slow speeds as well as fast acceleration test. Wish I had done that on my test drive. Ford is aware of this issue and claims that the transmission is "Adaptive", meaning that it learns how you drive and get's smoother in time.

Was that something that developed over time? I own one and can't feel it shifting even when I'm looking for it.
