Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZread, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZread. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZread, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

This song is about Owsley Stanley. He was an audio engineer and sometimes chemist who made the best LSD at the time. He was the sound engineer for the Grateful Dead. One of my favorite SD songs. ✌️♥️🎶

Nope. The misdirection which was laughable. Knowing people who worked with them. Now everyone knows LSD was not their thing. !! Ever. It was coke.

This entire album is one "groove pocket" after another. The rhythm section of Chuck Rainey (bass) and Bernard Purdie (drums) are on absolute fire throughout. I think this is the Dan's best album...every track is a funky, gritty, groovin' beast.

Such a great song. That's Larry Carlton on guitar, one of the finest jazz guitarists ever. He was a member of The Crusaders and played on many Steely Dan songs. Next up for Dan songs, I'd suggest FM (No Static at All) or Black Cow. Both are amazing!

Larry Carlton plays the guitar solo on Kid Charlemagne. He's known for the 'sweet tone' that he generates from his Gibson 335 and Fender Tweed amp. He's a top-session musician and has played on thousands of recordings. He's got some excellent solo albums, too.

The coolest sounding band in the universe. A nice funky song by them that you would enjoy is "Josie". It's a great jazz funk blend. Steely Dan is one of my favorite bands. I have all of their albums and because they are all so good, I don't actually have a favorite.

*FUN FACTS>>> *The Famous Singer, Michael McDonald did Many Backing Vocals on their songs!!! **Also, Chevy Chase Played Drums in an Earlier Version of the band> Becker and Fagen began playing in local groups. The "Don Fagen Jazz Trio", the "Bad Rock Group" and later the "Leather Canary"-included Future Comedy Star CHEVY CHASE on drums. They played covers of songs by The Rolling Stones ("Dandelion"), Moby Grape ("Hey Grandma"), and Willie Dixon ("Spoonful"), as well as some original compositions.

One of so many fantastic and unique songs done in what one could say is the Steely Dan style which is a blend of music. Try reacting the My Old School by The Dan which is based partly a true story about Walter and Don’s old college,(Bard College in upstate NY)

Owsley Stanley was a creative genius. He was an innovator in his work with The Dead of large crowd festival gatherings and arranged the sound so that even the most remote audience members could get a perspective of the band with higher fidelity. His sound arrangements are still in use today.

Here's the Name Origin> Now, all they needed was a name. Of course, it would come from a left-field but unsurprising source. As both Becker and Fagen were huge fans of the bizarre world of 1950s ‘Beat’ literature, they chose the name Steely Dan. It was pulled directly from William S. Burrough’s highly controversial 1959 novel, Naked Lunch. So what or who is ‘Steely Dan’, you might ask? For those of you who haven’t read the meandering, psychotropic book, ‘Steely Dan III from Yokohama’ is the name of an oversized, steam-powered strap-on dildo that is used by Mary during the chapter of the book entitled ‘A.J.’s Annual Party’.
