    Interesting idea on the handle finish, one thing I wonder though is, would the vinegar residue cause rust damage to the head overtime? I don't, but I might just have to try it, letting the handle fully dry and soaking it in blo before mounting it on a head.

    That's an interesting thought. I don't think it will be an issue, but it wouldn't hurt to treat the handle before hanging the head.
