You DO get 10 Celestial prints by successfully guessing the 3 red check. It is a chance, often drops eggs or armor spheres x10. but it can indeed give you celestial prints x10 in this new mode. maybe some people didn't know that, I think you didn't mention it.

Adding confirmation, yes you can get Celestial prints x10 from the overdrives on the way to the finish line. These are at a very low chance, but you can get it. At the finish, you will get 1x Celestial print, and 10x king spheres (1 at a time, for 10 in total). The finish won't give you prints x10.

So I did your fuel trick and got about 30k in an hour, got 121 silver tickets from the steamworks and then got 4 attack decos from those I have 7 now life is complete

1:50 you can actually get 10 celestial wyverian prints as just a normal reward.. i think during this event the pool got changed but i already had 10 wyverian prints on just a regular roll once

Got 30 celestial prints and melt them all for safi gems. Then got enough dracolite from burning useless weapons or copies to max out all elemental db's / blash HH. 4d chess time investment.

@Xen Glaris you can turn any Safi weapons you don't use into Dracolite. The higher the awakened level the more you get. The base level 1 weapons you get from the siege give 1 Dracolite each (sometimes more if the prerolled skill is rare).

@@piratesteve7171 the gems can be used in awakening alchemy to create Safi weapons. One gem. Is 3 random weapons.

when I was doing my own testing, the macro ran ~3 minutes and the cutscene added almost a full minute to the loop. I also averaged about 12k fuel per hour spent (120k on 10x) the other thing I wanted to mention is that you can Save Scum the steamworks. It takes a lot more baby-sitting but because you can spend 10k fuel per cycle you can just reset and keep playing till you get a favorable run (IE 30+ silver tickets and/or a lucky Celestial/Gold ticket drop). which works out to slightly more efficient fuel/drop but less efficient drop/hour depending on what you have more of. and Pineapple on pizza is an abomination

yup, im literally working on a video where i try to hash out some numbers to explain these effects and put them into proper context, but you summarised them here really well. in my experience, spending an hour grinding mats using my method for 50k fuel, then spending ~20 minutes using it all up and resetting until a 10 celestial drop, is probably the most time and fuel effective way to play when you consider that fuel grinding actually takes ~2.5 times longer than fuel spending, but i dont have hard numbers (yet!) also fight me

This is the undisputed best way to get armor spheres and gourmet vouchers. Consumables are alright too but it's not too great when you would rather have the crafting materials too in your inventory.

You can get 10x Wyvernian prints I found out, but only if you get super lucky getting the red jackpot that has it

Hi Cons, I love using your Spreadsheet (especially the guiding lands monster drops) but it's unfortunately incomplete. For example Barioth and Stygian Zinogre are missing (maybe others). Also, in the alphabetical lookup table (which I love), it doesn't show the entries some entries (propably the ones you added at the end of the list). Do you plan on updating it? Great video, thanks, but i got one question: if you go with 10 instead of 100 fuel you will more often have those "steam bonus, no coal used" events per coal used. Will this make my coal usage more efficient or am i doing the math wrong since everything gets increased by 10 anyways?

1x is more efficient than 10x, but only because of the overdrives. With bonus modes, youll get more per fuel but each will give fewer items, so it balances out i think, EXCEPT again for overdrive steam buildup, which youll get more of from bonus modes because more bonusses

Hi first thx a lot for your video i just bought the Iceborn extension and a lot of your video helped me ^^. I just have one question i'v been farming a lot of fuel for the steamwork ( 150k-200k not as much as you ofc u_u) and i never drop any celestial is there something i'm missing or is it just pure luck ^^? Pure luck. You can save scum it though. Just save before, do 2 or 3 runs and if you haven't gotten a print exit the game and reload the save.

@@kydas100 My philosophy is: if it's in the game its legal. Save summing has been a tried and true method of going against the rng gods for generations

If you get the lucky drop with the jackpot when it x10. You can get 10 celestial prints. Because it happened to me.

Im glad to know im not the only goblin who has the will to do this type of thing

Honestly, I hated it. I had close to 100k fuel that I spent trying to get one set of gold melding tickets. Didn't get even one. Not even a singular Celestial print. Not that there was much other point to the steamworks but give items, which is good so you don't have to get Mega Potions, Max Potions and such, so I can't say its a useless mode. I just don't prefer it myself to actually go out and do deco farming through investigations.

be sure to save beforehand in future so you can reset if you get really unlucky like this, unless you really need the consumables. now that 10x is a thing, it pays to be a little more frugal given how quickly we can spend

I think that it was a great choice to add this function to Iceborne as i didn't really used the steamwork that often, too slow to gain materials, so now it's worth it to work with the steamwork. And no, pineapple does not belong on pizza, that is forbidden by law!!!!!!! :D (btw. i can't meld safi's zionium crystal to fuel)

@@ConsOA I haven't done Safi yet as i play Solo on PS4 (non plus member) so it take much time to get the energy out of that levels, so i thought i would just put my time into collecting material for the steamworks first (got about 100.000 fuel right now but i think that won't be enough lol) btw. if you like pineapple on a pizza, try out putting honey on a pizza, that taste good :D

Hey Cons, great video. Can you confirm whether or not Shield Jewel 2 and Mind's Eye Jewel 2 are obtainable from Silver Melding tickets? I've seen people saying it is and other saying it isn't but I've yet to see proof that they're obtainable. I need to know whether or not it makes sense to keep farming fuel, I already have every other HR deco. If anyone could provide some proof it'd be really helpful.

The decorations that also come as armour set bonuses (minds eye, guard up & protective polish etc.) Are rarer than most other decorations presumably because they come as set bonuses too. You can get them from silver melding tickets but it's rare af, feel like I've only got multiple of them because I haven't been looking for them specifically xD RNG being how it is.

@@samuelm5140 I've kinda given up on the silver melding way, I haven't gotten sharp, mind's eye, mighty bow either from them, so I guess it's true that set skills decorations aren't in that pool, I've used almost 1000 tickets. Lavasioth can be done quickly with sticky and kirin divinity, sometimes I get 4 or 5 warped feystones but I get bored really fast. I've moved to doing T3 HR investigations, they take like 2-3 minutes with spread HBG with the objective of gathering at least 200 gleaming streamstones and maybe 100 high commendations, and hopefully I'd get either mind's eye or guard up in the process before having to snipe for them with the melder. This really sucks and probably lavasioth is a better method. It'd be good to know once you get guard up, good luck mate

Did you mean Safi mantle? You can save scum the Steamworks to force the red drops to be celestial prints. Then you use those to get Safi mantles. At the melder you can turn Safi jiva parts into a random Safi weapon. Wanna guess which part gives the most points to a meld? You can then turn any weapons you don't like/need into Dracolite pieces in order to level up the weapons you actually care about.

Shakeel Amlay that’s what I meant! And thanks. It’s good to know. I have a couple fully upgraded Safi weapons and sitting on a pile of safi mats. But if they shake up the meta at some point while Safi siege isn’t running, this could be a helpful way to change Safi weapons accordingly

You have a 0% chance of getting an Attack+ deco from Gold Melding Tickets. Gold Melding Tickets are the equivalent of Rarity 10 Carved Feystones.

atk+4 is a rare 12 deco, those dont drop from any melding ticket, including astral (tho the latter isnt available legitimately in game yet) gotta either do tempered zin or farm up some good slot investigations for t3 tempereds

Put on a LV3 Geologist and only mine the tier red ores THREE times never 4 So you never despawn them or fill the Giant outcrop meter. Trust me its very efficient

my advice when you spend that much fuel would be to save before hand, and every 30 minutes or hour just make sure you got at least 1 super rare drop, and if you havent then reset otherwise save and keep going. If you do it every 30 minutes, it only takes up like 2% of the total time spent farming but really gives you more bang for your buck

Fun fact: it is possible to get 10 celestial wyverian prints but it’s only by luck when you get a red tier reward but it is extremely rare I have only got 10 CWP at one time after using around 90k fuel

First of all, How in the world do you get 3.2 million fuel? Using a farm guide I make about 1,000 per minute in the GL which is really good. That would take almost 17 Hours to farm 1 million fuel. Please tell me that you haven't spent 50 hours farming fuel in the guiding lands, and if you haven't how in the world do you have 3 million fuel?

It this a mod or part of the game? I don't seem to have the 10x option in my game

@@mountur my usual route is effluvial region and volcanic region. Non interrupted runs for 15mins get me around 7k - 10k fuels. Dont forget master gatherer so you can mine faster.

I got 20 in 4 attempts. I was basically running out all my tries, and if I wasn't satisfied with results, I just wouldn't save. Ended up getting 10 gold tickets early, so I saved, then a few tries later hit 10 more. Got nothing but crap but you can get gold tickets.

Yea it would be a little overpowered if you got gold prints in quantities of 10? When the rng of decorations are at like 0.03 percent. How is that even fair? I've played monster hunter since the first game but the rng of the game is a little ridiculous. I understand u dont want everybody to have attack 4 jewels or expert jewel 4 but I almost have a better chance playing the lottery.

Everything here screams pachinko the music the graphics the rewards drop rate i guarantee you if capcom could monetize the steam work for a dollar per use they absolutely would.

My comment is more about the macros that complete gathering quests for you and how people will equate using a macro on this to using a macro to perform quests. Let's be honest the people watching this and downloading a macro to perform holding down a button are also going to your other videos and downloading the macros you created to perform quests. At that point they should just be editing save files like you.
