CN #3254’s Out-Of-Tune Whistle be like: 1980s: “It sounds awful, better get some proper tuning.” Or “Sounds odd, but with the echoes it sounds really cool!” Nowadays: “Hey, it’s that one train whistle from that thing! The thing with the kids! The Cartoon!” Or “Now where have I heard that whistle before?” You get the idea.

That idea will never catch on with its current whistle. Unless you want to make an SFX of that whistle perfectly synced to the said 1980s whistle, like what that one bozo did with CN 6520’s K3L. (I mean: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWWZxbObj7nOo7A.html)

Well, sadly 3254 has been retired. I think this whistle wasn't tuned right then, or maybe it was, I have no idea, but it sounds drastically different from when she last ran in 2012, but it definently sounds like the same whistle. It probably shouldn't sound this way.

From Steamtown yes indeed. If there is another tourist line it can go to to being rebuilt for operation, so be it. Donate it by any means necessary. It was NOT an original Steamtown locomotive. She has been retired. Sometime during her active service life, she collided with a Great Northern locomotive. As a result of the collision, she was left with a bent frame and was a rough rider. I can attest to that, having ridden in her cab once. It felt like she had square wheels. B&M Pacific 3713 is supposed to take her place once it’s been restored. (They’ve been restoring it since the dawn of time.) Don’t hold your breath. Steamtown is as hapless and hopeless as the rest of the federal government.
