A Memphis brand piece-of-crud from the 1970s I believe. It weighs a ton and doesn't sound any better than a modern lighter base. I dunno what they were thinking in the 70s, but making that bass so heavy doesn't do anyone any good x_X. I received it as a gift when I was a kid and we dug it out of my childhood and have been using it ever since for our live shows since it's cheap, yet durable. I don't understand how people can say that without The Spine, SPG would be "just another boy band". I don't think that they appeal just to teenagers, in fact I don't think they are trying to appeal to any certain age group. I think that they're just making music that sounds fantastic because SPG is what they really love to do; it's their passion. They are spectacular at what they do; their songs make me laugh, dance and cry, and they have developed such intricate characters and story-lines, too!

Rabbit's motions are mesmerizing in this video. You guys are amazing.

When I'm watching this I can't stop watching rabbit's robotic movements, I love how dedicated they are to the role!

I'm probably driving my co-workers batty with this song. It's so good I can't help but hit the repeat button and put the volume at the highest decible my headphones can play. You simply just cannot appreciate the fantastic vocals in any other way

I hope the SPG guys see this post. My son (who will be 4 in a couple months) absolutely loves this song. He sings along when it's on, and sings (what he can) from memory. I love what you do, and hopefully I can see you live in the near future.

@Puppy Cove - if you look in Reddit, there's a post titled "Why does the third member keep getting switched out?" To which The Spine personally answers in depth with three huge walls of witty, insightful, sometimes brutally honest, text. I feel like I know this band a lot better after having spent the twenty minutes reading and rereading the response, and it answered literally every question I've wanted to ask these guys for several years. It shows how caring the Bennett twins are and how much they love their friends, their fans and their band, regardless of who it currently includes. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. 😍

I'm 50 and love this sound, very fringe , new, clean smooth. reminiscent of early split enz, roxy music, genesis.....great stuff guys, keep it up :-)

For the longest time I was 100% sure Rabbit was the one singing the chorus. But considering her and The Spine are twins, it´s not that surprising they can sound the same.

I don't care if Bunny is male or female. I don't care is Rabbit is male or female. I just love their music. And want the group to continue doing what they do best and that's make music:) They treat people with respect and are kindhearted. That's what matters. Not what gender anyone is.

I don't care so much that Bunny has gone through that, I just wish that the character itself wouldn't have changed so much. I liked Brass Goggles and Honeybee (both for the music and) for the character portrayed there.

I have been taking my son to the zoo all summer and these guys have been there. My son rather watch these guys than see animals. there not my genre but they are cool as ever. More power to you guys, I have bought your cd off of your website. I'll support you guys to the fullest. Who CARES what gender they are??? Their music is absolutely magical, their voices give me chills. Just because bunny is trans doesn't mean a thing. Like she says, "it matters what's on the inside, not the gender". I love them so much :)

Out of all SPG songs this is the one that really struck me strong (well, after Honeybee - nothing can top that for me!). It's because it's so classical in it's nature and the performance is just flawless. It's also one of the best ones to belt out loud along, usually I sing along loud & proud when I'm driving around. I just keep returning to this. Good thing I bought the album so I can play this on repeat in the car if I want to! ^^

As much as I love their new songs, this one is still my favorite by far.

I found them probably early March on Tumblr and thought the same thing, "Oh, they are cool, but they will be like all the rest of my music findings that go away after I obsess for a few weeks". Well, it's been almost three months and I still can't get enough of them. They have very quickly moved into the top two bands I wanna see live and will no doubt become number one soon enough.

This band is basically the personification of Steam Punk. They are amazing.

I think one my favorite things about this band is their versatility. They can sing all sorts of genres, and it's all beautiful.

One of my wife’s favorites! We enjoy how this song ends on the 10 yr. anniversary concert.

From 3:00 - 3:30, Rabbit's robotic movement is incredible. Rabbit and the rest of the band are such a talented bunch; can't imagine how much practice and commitment they've put into this amazing art of theirs.

This song is my alarm, so every day when I wake up, the first thing I hear is "is there such a thing as too much of a good thing." And I can't help but think, every time, "I guess so, Spine, or else you'd let me sleep longer."

I have an unhealthy obsession with this song. Why THIS one in particular? I HAVE NO IDEA

That guitar flair at :45 is awesome, but I would have loved to have heard it built towards. Like the first time no flair, the second time a smaller flair, and the third time the full flair. Rifts and things like that building as the song progress really makes for a special sound. Kind of like in Bad Religion's Dearly Beloved how the drums have a few extra beats in them during the final chorus. It just sends chills up your spine.

You guys are quickly becoming one of my favourite bands. I've been boasting about how great you guys are to everyone I know. You're all so creative, talented, and versatile and I love what you guys add to the Steampunk community, and the music community in general! I'm so excited to get The 2¢ Show!

The best part is that now that there's an official video, this song can be enjoyed any day of the week.

OKAY since everyone asks what the little black and red piano thingy rabbit plays is I will tell you... it's called a slurp and play. You fill it with piping hot coffee and you play!!! People have been calling it by Melodica which I assure you is incorrect.

I always start playing ukulele to this halfway through... and then I'll go back to the beginning and play the whole song through. It's just that fantastic. :)

I've been a fan since a friend showed them to me as well. I haven't been able to stop listening, watching, obsessing. I've since showed several videos to anyone who is willing to give them a listen. And if they are not, I tie them to a chair and make them. Seriously, I've done it. They are now a fan like me lol. 2:16 is actually my FAVORITE part of the song. The ever adorable Rabbit plays that melodica SO well

It's more about voice impostation than range, and yeah, he and the way he sings are beautiful. Steam powered giraffe are beautiful. Saturday nights are beautiful. You are beautiful, dear stranger.
