Thanks to CVision for the use of the historic footage of the locomotive, as well as Dennis O'Hara/DuluthHarborCam for the great shots of the engine running back in 2017-2018.

I would love to be able to run it again someday. CTRR Steve. To me it will always be the 28. Thank you for the opportunity to spend many hours working on it and bringing it back to life. Great story for my grand kids.
I remember seeing her as D&NE 28. Was hoping she was preserved. Im glad she was
The 332 locomotive is my favorite, Miles here! Just got the Junction, and it's amazing. I hope to ride behind her soon. My dream is to climb into the cab, and maybe even blow the whistle. Excited for summer! You guys are the best!

@@NorthShoreScenicRailroadDuluth You're welcome Josh! Hope to see you this Saturday.
Looking forward to riding behind that loco this summer.
Should probably run it August 27th 👍🏻
When Soo Line 2719 comes out of her inspection, will 332 & 2719 double head someday?

They said they were going to leap frog the two engines. When 332 goes down for its 1,472 day inspection, 2719 will be ready to take its place and vice versa.

@@southwestvirginiarailfan729 I forgot, but for 332 before she goes for her inspection, a double header would be nice
When do you light a fire in the locomotive the first time for the season? I assume before you do an actual train you do a couple of test runs?
I just bought my tickets for the July 23rd trip, hoping to get steam but I see no steam this year? Any reasons why? Still bought my ticket
You guys should restore the 2719 to doublehead them

Call me geeky, but what is the requirements for steam boiler certification. One of my dad's relatives down south had a 3" gauge rideable steam locomotive. I asked about the boiler cert and he said he didn't need one. I talked with the saint Croix train club, and one of those guys said he needed certification for his. When do you need the certification and when do you not? I would get that you should probably get it, just to be safe.

Guessing it has something to do with size and pressures. It is not a simple process. Lots of rules and paperwork, but its all in the name of safety!

I have a question to ask is there a premium system that allows you to be in the cab of the locomotive and become like an engineer for the afternoon

Neat idea, but there is no formal program for this. #332 has a very small cab.

@@NorthShoreScenicRailroadDuluth I know that 2719 is going to be restored pretty soon is there enough room in that locomotive.
