Steam Engine 2719 Again
We visited this video in a previous behind the scenes tour, but this clip is a revised version of the previous video which will be featured in this upcoming summer's newly renovated area of the museum dubbed the "Locomotive Gallery" - where several video features will be available for guests to checkout.

I hope 2719 will run again in the future!
It would be really cool if you got 2719 running a little bit before 332 goes in for its 1472 day inspection so we can see them both running together

It’s very unlikely they will restore her again, so I wouldn’t bet on it. It would be cool, but it wouldn’t happen.

Amazing video of Soo Line 2719.
You folks make such great, informative, and interesting videos. I'm moving to Duluth soon and I can't wait to be a museum volunteer through the winter!
I'm so glad the outside of the depot is getting some attention. I enjoyed wandering around outside almost more than inside. So much great stuff to see and enjoy!!! Keep up the good work!!!
The 2719 is my favorite Soo Line steam locomotive! I’ll be super pumped when it returns to steam!
when I retire, I hope to volunteer at the LSRRM, maybe as a driver, fireman, machinist, mechanic or just the guy taking the tickets.

Funny how I watched the half hour version her being restored and then I found this video Now I hope she returns eventually
It needs to change the rules of boiler inspection, in special for those Maschines, which are not running in daily duty! It must be possible that a club/musea has his own engineers, which are in charge for those safetychecks. Might be a yearly coldwaterpressurecheck should easy to handle ...
How about a peek into the boiler and firebox. It’s no mystery to me but would make an excellent video.

No one knows, there can be a rough timeline of when you want it to operate again but it all comes down to getting it done safely and right.

@@nssrrailfan6443 April 23rd but last season they did some training runs before that so it was always cool to catch those because they would run up to two harbors. But dates are limited until mid May.

It is available for viewing. Its outside right now, so its snowy and cold... but come summer the backyard is much better for touring.
