idk you but, i spent 9hrs in my office working from home and play video games and still seating on my PC is not pleasant sometimes. so far I've been enjoying mine.

500$ is not worth for playing it on bad? Never underestimate the laziness of someone xD. I’m like you, I don’t travel or go out to mutch and I even have a gaming laptop… still bought one steam deck to play at bad watching tv or to stay with the family and play 😅
