  Unless you press F1 that loading screen will seldom come, while your system loads. Plus by the looks of your OS you are using a GNOME-based LINUX my bet is Ubuntu. Also, get a SSD then it won't take that long to boot the system. Don't call yourself a linux user unless you can fix the error when your OS crAshes.

  It would look normal if he didnt press the escapw button, and no user imput is required during the startup process. Turning on a computer running linux is the same as windows or mac, but with more visuals on what is happening during the startup.
