it's funny I'm actually learning about the first gas mask and the other essential he flame troopers have on here are almost exactly the same FUN FACT: the gas mask was originally called a safety hood, it wouldn't strap on it would be put on like a helmet AND, it had long tunes toward the ground for clean air and cotton as filters. hope this helps your education 😊

@@wearenumberone1111 Had a similar situation with 2 cavalries arriving to gang up on me just after I picked up the kit and was reloading. Waited for 2 whole minutes for that kit to spawn only to be killed during the initial reload - so frustrating!

I set up an ambush with a barrel and a light machine gun, and got the guy before he grabbed the sentry kit (on Amiens) I started by breaking a barrel, then hiding in it. I waited until I heard someone coming, and there was no teammates in the alley. I was the squad leader, so I popped up and blew my whistle while opening fire. Scared the crap out of that guy!

i just love it when im on monte grappa and the flame trooper is available so an enemy rushes inside the bunker and i run after him. he picks up the elite class but before he is actually ready i bayonet charge him its so evil i love it

Pro Tip: Elite classes have many weaknesses. I'll list them all because fuck it why not Gas (Sentry only) Fire of any kind, including flares which will melt a sentry (Sentry and Tank Hunter only) Melee/bayonet/repair tool Roadkill K bullets any bullet hose or DMR/Sniper explosives Direct shot by a Rocket gun Weapon Emplacements and vehicles. Literally 99% of the things in this game destroy the elites but Melee,Fire,Gas, and AT Rockets are most effective and bullets can take down the non sentry elites fairly quickly.

I found a flame kit on forest but an enemy took it so I bayonet charged him. So that person had the kit for a solid 5 seconds

Something about bayonet charging with shotguns is just so much more satisfying than any other gun

Though everyone loves to bayonet charge elites, my favorite counter to elites (especially sentries) is the AT rocket gun. 1 hit to the chest and they are down for the count.

The sentry should be immune to Melee attacks, the cavalry only to bayonet charges, cause of the body armor/harness and the new elite class should be too

Elite classes wear protective gear that helps reduce damage from bullets coming in at fast speeds. But a human charging with a bayonet, at full speed, pierces it like paper. (Only in Battlefield.)

Never bring a flame thrower to a knife fight.

I've been seriously considering removing the bayonet from my weapon just to have a considerably faster aim-down-sights animation as well as the advantageous change in recoil... But I know damn well that every game I play without it, there'll be ten or so times where it would've saved my life or at least have a better chance in close quarters (I ALWAYS play scout class) or simply have a short boost of speed to get to cover... The bayonet is too useful but at the same time.....idk I'll try it out

Update: I very much prefer NOT having a bayonet attached, the surprising increase in speed for aiming down sights makes it feel as if reloading is also quickened! :D plus the huge decrease in recoil seemed to make the most impossible long-shots with iron sights almost too easy... Lastly, if you feel like moments you need a bayonet outweigh bettering your reflexes and precision, think of all the hundreds of things you won't have which could be used to save your life every time you die, in every oh-shit moment, the bayonet has the least combined chance of landing a hit, dodging bullets, helping with the objective or even being used more than rarely versus the greater chance with everything you'll have when using something other than a bayonet, especially with no bayonet equipped, and if you don't know how to dodge a tank hunter, distance yourself from a flamer, how to flank and knife a sentry, OR just get behind all three methodically, all without a bayonet, then you're just making excuses to keep that possibility of feeling the satisfaction from the occasional bayonet kill, it's because you're too basic
