About 10 years ago I made a coffee table out of 4 wine crates, so I guess we're pretty much the same. I absolutely love your creative solutions in your builds. You have the most enjoyable awkward swagger ever. Your builds are very much form follows function and they are brilliant. You are clearly driven by solutions and enjoy that process. Love your builds. Also, if you are ever building a coffee table out of wine crates and you get stuck, holla. Aloha
Awesome job! There are freightliner box trucks you can use to convert too. :)
Firstly, congratulations on your new property…your work is so inspiring…can’t wait for part 2
I really wish I could afford Techo Barbarian to build my box truck, awesome skills!

love the work but I just wanna know 1. how much to buy his build and 2. how much time to build and how much spent of U-Haul and materials.

@@madlad_dad yeah I looked through the community. Might sound kinda rough but I just want to know numbers. I understand it’s deeper than that but a rough estimate would be great. I’m thinking $15-20k and 2-3 months of work?
Sir, by simply sharing your experiments, you have benefitted all of us here in your audience. Hope to see you around Bandera in the future, I'm a trim carpenter/handyman and am really enjoying your content. Thanks, great channel.
It goes without saying, but I will say it anyway, this is an AMAZING build...especially since you are doing it all by yourself. Looking forward to Pt. 2.
Man when I first saw you using the chalk gun on the skylight I said I hope your using Sikaflex. Then saw it when sealing solar. I see so many people use siding grade caulk where it’s not meant to be. Thank you again for sharing
I would LOVE to see all the details about the shower, how it's made, materials you used, cost, how its holding up, any improvements. I did a custom fiberglass shower pan over OSB in my cargo trailer conversion. It failed after a year and didnt stick at all or something. Tore out and replaced with aqua defense, we'll see how it holds up.
I just watched your video on the van you did…. WOW. You do amazing work , 2:19 well done cheers
I am from Houston as well. Good content.
Love these. Keep the videos comin please!
Was literally just thinking “Where have you been?” Tada! Looks sweet!
you should make a video about mistakes/regrets/things you have learned.
Very cool builds. I can see a big shed going up soon, so you can work inside out of the rain! What's a U-haul Conversion cost? Ever thought of putting any size matress on a vertical lift and lowering it when needed and raising it when not needed? I've been thinking about converting an old ambulance into an RV? Or sometimes I like to think big! An old 359 Peterbilt with a twin screw tandem cab/frame with a 24 foot box converted into an RV with 10 feet of storage space at the back. I do like watching people converting vehicles into RV's or sheds into tiny homes! I'll be waiting for part 2.

Thanks! Lift beds take up too much headroom in my opinion. A slim one could work in a Uhaul but not a van. As far as costs, all depends on what features/materials you use. 10k minimum I'd say. Sky's the limit
watched some of your other stealth camping videos. thought i would recommend getting some of those cheap bone conduction headphones so you could watch tv or whatever without making noise but still hear whats going on around you. i got a couple pairs off ali exp for like 15 bucks. good videos, i subbed
Mad skills 🤯
I just started watching your videos and I have to say they are educational and entertaining. One thought came to mind, it would be very easy to make your trucks with a Faraday cage in the walls if done right you could protect all the electronics in the vehicle. Putting in the Faraday cage would incur additional costs but since you're putting it within the metal walls of the truck a lot of your work is already done. Just giving you something to think about.
Dude this is awesome. Just got a cheap SUV and did my first 'stealth campings' here in houston... the box van looks a lot more comfortable!
exceptional build. gives me so many ideas and ways to do things. Best of all I think is the use of standard building materials and not that super expansive stuff the "pro" builders use in their million dollar build for clients who end up parking them, at the million dollar condo in Aspen.... Can't wait for part 2 and more....
Ground hog tastes pretty good. Just saying... 😋 Am enjoying the build. Congratulations on the new digs.
Me again. Look up those variegated sand pit drains. Basically, you dig a hole about 2'x5' deep where the water puddles, then put layers of crushed rock and sand so the water drains down through. You can also do the PVC pipe thing, drill lots of holes in five foot pipes, sink them into the dirt, and they funnel the water lower into the ground.

I need them bad. Definitely on my to-do. Whole property is clay
Love it. Always glad to see a video from you.
I like your ingenuity and your editing. Sub’d your channel!
Nice property & location, rather a large amount of work done by one person on your truck/van and property also showing your mistakes. looking forward to your next video ...
been waiting for this, great work!
can't wait till I start my own uhaul conversion, should start looking for one next year, still ironing out the layout and how to make it 4 season, need to winterize the water tanks under the frame (in in Canada) just in case I am up here a little longer in the year

@@TheTechnoBarbarian I have a welder friend who I plan on getting to make boxes for underneath for storage and for tool storage, also thinking would be good to make the boxes for the water tanks, insulate the inside and then wrap the little bit of piping coming up or exposed
Bring on Part 2!!! 💪
Showing the mistakes you made only makes your talent more apparent. Cannot freakin wait for the next vid. Also, please do another stealth overnight in your prototype soon!
Nice new place congrats! When I saw the drone shots i was sure you would build a 3'wall under those metal buildings and jack them up so you could park your projects under them. Maybe you still could with the one in front? Great job.

Thought about it but the carports are anchored into the asphalt. Dont worry I have bigger plans...
OK if you’re making them, I’d buy one.
come on.. i've been waiting for this, kindly upload more videos and stealth challenge..🙏💯👌🔥
Ah, so that's how to handle the beams. We had a second set of solar panels added on, and the new guy at our mechanics Did Not Listen when I told him to put a strip of the butyl under each bracket. 😑 Now I absolutely need to improve the ceiling insulation. I showed a friend your previous vid and he said, would you (me) do it again if you had the money? I said in a heart beat, but I'd go right to The Man in Texas. But first, the lottery. 🤣 Free dogs are the best. Also, if you're doing paid work, you're a Professional Craftsman. Happy New Year!
New Techno Barbarian video is out?! Leave me alone for the next 30 minutes as I watch intently....
Happy new year

Same to you!
You have an incredible stealth build but the other more important aspect is the vehicles ability to roll down the road dependably. Here in central Florida near Interstate 95 we constantly see Non stealth rigs, Vans, RV’s, stealth Rigs dead on the road. My local Lowes is a haven for broke down rigs and abandoned dreams. I have seen abandoned rigs sit for weeks on the road much like the abandoned boats on the inter coastal water way and this does not help the nomad life style. I’ve driven many U-hauls over the years and they are not retired with allot of life left. If the chassis is strictly a tax break sitting in a back yard for economical living and rarely moving that’s perfect. If someone’s spending this much money on the perfect mobile stealth rig more attention might be spent in the beginning stages to the engine and drive train or maybe you just haven’t touch on that yet? 😅
PL Premium is the best stuff I’ve used
When will you have a stealth camping video out
Epic build as usual! What do you listen to while you build?
It's incredible your attention to details. All throughout the build. 🛠🤙 Even taking the time to screw down the back splash under the vinyl backing, so you don't see the screws.👍💪 What was your favorite part or feature of this build? 🤔
@TheTechnoBarbarian
6 ай бұрын
Thanks! Actually my favorite part was all of the trim. I went to great lengths to hide all material seams, gaps, cracks etc and it really turned out to have a very residential feel. You'll see a lot of the trim work in pt 2
