As a US Diplomat, we were not able to keep any gifts worth more than $25. If it would be embarrassing for the giver to publicly refuse the gift, you are able to accept the gift on behalf of the government, then when you return to the US, give them to the Department for use of the govt or give to a museum (if a valuable one) or if food, to share among the office.

Sadly it wouldn't, you cannot take Prince from Harry, it's his birthright so she would automatically become Princess Henry of Wales. I can't make up my mind if she would be delighted with Princess or horrified with Princess Henry?

how many letters from citizens are there requesting this? How many people have demanded that Parliament extract those titles? Not only should opinions be expressed on networks, if people do not move to demand, they do not make it visible in letters, posters, on the street, it is easy to say that there is not enough disapproval. If the king makes a move like that, of course he would be supported by the people, but the media would destroy him at his convenience, it is the citizens who must show their disagreement in a clearer and more forceful way.

I was going to give them a pass for being sloppy with the paperwork and fees but then I saw CharityWatch has report on their charity, which pointed to several red flags. The group can't give AW a rating because the charity has ignored requests for copies of their IRS filings. These two are despicable.

I’m just hoping Commonwealth High Commissioners will not let this couple come visiting in any way. They just fail at every turn because the public is not stupid.

If your talking about the Saudi diamond earrings I don't know is she did.. I get the feeling after she wore them to Charles birthday the Queen realised she hadn't returned them, after wearing them in Fiji.Even though they were a wedding gift I dont beleive she was supposed to keep them. I think that's when she was told to attend a meeting with the Queen and they took them off her checked her luggage and then sent her to Canada escorted by the Duke and Duchess of Wessex. Thats only my take on the little bits if information that was floating around. Think H got the huff and that's what they want an apology for. H " What she wants she gets". ..mmmhhh

Twenty or so gifts given to them in Nigeria is small change to the 24 billion missing dollars from their Archewell foundation allegedly.

They spent Mothers day in Nigeria instead of being with their fake children. Megans mother Doria was not around to raise her but she seems to be raising her invisible grandchildren its a little odd I think.

The cherry on top is finding out that The Archwell Foundation has been suspended! That kind of stuff just writes itself! What fun!!

That trip was revolting! The way she dressed was so disrespectful! I was glad the BRF made a statement that they did not represent the BRF in any way! They are an embarrassment to both countries. I doubt they paid for the Windsor suite at the airport. I heard People magazine footed the bill for an exclusive. They also flew first class with a curtain separating them from other passengers. Their loss of contact with reality, overestimation of their own competence, accomplishments, capabilities and importance is mind boggling.

I was hoping someone would comment on them not bringing anything to the kids. Paula mentioned that it is customary when visiting a school to bring gifts for the kids. They didn't do that and they couldn't even bother to accept the gifts on the platter from one of the little girls. Trash... In any legitimate business gifts are not to be accepted Royal or not… it’s conflict of interest.

I know it has been suggested by individuals far more knowledgeable than I, but H&M should be stripped of any and all royal titles due to their seemingly parasitic behavior when dealing with others. They should become the private citizens they claimed they desire to be. They have not truly helped anyone or any group but rather have sought personal benefits in every action they take. They just are not good people and reflect poorly on anyone, group, organization, or country they are associated with. It is a terribly horrendous situation IMO.
