itsyoboichris15 bb Louisiana didn’t get Katrina, it’s scraped the eastern edge, we got leveled in Mississippi, New Orleans had the problems because they didn’t fix their levees like they needed to, the downtown area would have been flattened if they got hit by Katrina like Mississippi did

Hope everything is going well for you now mate, sorry to hear you were in that situation before.

Good video! That anchor is fine for a lunch stop in a light wind but is not adequate for gale force+ conditions. I'd follow West Marine's or the manufacturer guidance on anchor size if I'm going to anchor overnight. Also, it's best to have at least 6' of heavy (5/16"+) chain between the anchor and the line. Chain will protect from chafing on rocks. It will also add a lot to the anchor's holding ability if you use 20' or more chain. One last bit of unsolicited advice, I only attach my anchor line and chain to anchor with shackles held closed with safety wire, never with carabiners or snaps. I also like the end of rope at the anchor to have a thimble spliced into it.
