Staying Cool In Your RV! Tips To Beat the Heat! | Salisbury Beach State Reservation Review

We experience a major HEAT WAVE in the northeast! In Luv Subbin Episode 277, we provide some tips to help you stay cool in your RV. One tip includes having a Hughes Autoformer to boost your amperage when there is a lot of draw on the campground's electrical system. We also review the improvements made to the campsites and campground at Salisbury Beach State Reservation in Salisbury, Massachusetts. Of course, there is some Grilling and Chillin' on our Weber Smokey Joe grill.

For those wondering, due to our love of Salisbury I have written respectful letters to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation voicing my disappointment with the absurd out-of-state fees. My letters were met with the expected "no response". For context, I just went to book a site at a Vermont State Park. $20 for Vermonters; $28 for out-of-staters. That is fair, reasonable, and welcoming.

That is interesting. Here in NC, TN, VA, SC, and WV we don’t have that type of thing.

@@edyost6433 Maybe that's why we love the South so much! A few bucks here and there is no issue. But quadruple the price? Total bummer for what was one of our favorite places to camp.

We live in Missouri and there is no difference between residents and non-residents. There should not be any discrimination so people can afford to travel and see other states. Or all states need to implement those type of penalties for being from another state. Knowing how Mass is to keep away non-residents, we will definitely shape our travel plans so we will not leave unnecessary monies in that state. It really should be illegal to discriminate by almost quadrupling prices. On a different note, those dishes all looked amazing!!

Thanks for watching! It is so disappointing. One State Forest with no hookups tried to charge us $54.00/night for boondocking! I don't mind a reasonable charge for out-of-staters but Massachusetts is out of control. People from the Commonwealth are treated better at our state parks...

@@LuvSubbinI can’t tell you how many times I rewatch your posts for some issue that I’m encountering with my trailer. I have a 2007 International 25’ pretty similar to your trailer and have been helped out in many instances, so thank you for what you do. I also love your reviews of campsites, which is super helpful. PS I’m always on the lookout for you on the road, haven’t seen you yet, but always on the lookout! Appreciate you both.

One of our favorites was at the I-95 Rest Stop in Florida when one of our subscribers came running up to show us their checklists that they had developed from our website! We certainly hope to see you down the road...

@@LuvSubbinI live about 1 mile off I-95, exit 109 in Maryland so I’m always traveling up and down between Christiana Mall in Delaware and Baltimore. I figure it’s just a matter of time till I spot you. I did see the peanut mobile once, so you never know. 😂. It’s about time to do my wheel bearings, so I reviewed your video and will be using it for reference. I like the way you put things when you say this is the way we do it, you may have other ideas. That is such a different approach from most which I really appreciate. Also, when Cindy restates points it is really helpful in getting the information across and understood by those with a little less mechanical aptitude. 😊 Keep up the great work.

Thanks guys for the awesome comment. Interesting Luv Subbin fact: when we did narrowboats in England in 2013 we got a KZread account and posted the videos just for other family members to watch. A few years later, we looked and one of our videos had 30,000 views and we had 300 subscribers. That was a big push to make us think we could do RV KZreads. I checked out your 30A Autoformer link. It returns multiple results. Are they all “autoformers” or is that just the manufacturer’s name? We’re interested in the one that you’re using and recommending. We still have our Smokey Joe we bought the year we married in 1985! Need to start using it again. Way lighter than the Blackstone 😀
