Best Camping at Lake Winnipesaukee! | Ellacoya State Park & Loon Center
In Luv Subbin Episode 278, we continue to avoid the heat by camping at Ellacoya State Park in New Hampshire. It is on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. We also visit the Loon Center and learn all about these wonderful birds. We finish the episode by cooking a delicious steak (from Wal Mart) using Cindy's own spice rub.

Thanks! We may not be launching a rub line in the near future but I highly recommend pulling up Cindy's recipe from the video's description and trying it out.

Thanks guys! We're literally planning our next trip out to a place where we can hear the call of the loon...
The Loon is one of my favorite sounds in the woods. Have a safe and Happy 4th!

Thanks Cotton Tales! We could not agree more. On a beautiful Vermont lake with a full moon, nothing is better.

I just read your response to Cindy. Her question: are there loons in Alabama?

Or only War Eagles... 😀

@@LuvSubbin no Loons in Alabama. The first one I heard was in the 100 Mile Wilderness in Maine 2018 at age 60. Nothing like that call.

@@LuvSubbin I have Bald Eagles fly over our farm usually in January - March. They nest a few miles from us on Lay Lake. Every time I see one I think of y’all.
I’d be game for some Luv Subbin rub!

Thanks! You never know how things might develop...
I love loons. Their cry is so beautiful. Enjoyed the information about the ability to watch them on KZread! Hey! You could call the rub "Luv Rubbin" ........ but people might get the wrong idea. 🤣 Maybe try a cast iron pan on the stove? You could get it hotter than you can a non-stick pan. - Michelle

OK guys, Luv Rubbin is the best idea on the planet! We are still laughing. We actually do have a product coming out (not food related) that we will send to you for evaluation if you want. Stay tuned...
We love Ellacoya SP! Often visit in the fall. I always have to go to Harts Turkey Farm in Meredith.

Thanks for watching! OK - Harts Turkey Farm is on our list. I was trying to explain N.H. Turkey Farm restaurants to Cindy and she was confused. My grandfather had a special, reserved table every Sunday at the Green Ridge Turkey Farm in Nashua. I need to re-live those memories...
I was just looking into that place for a future trip. You read my mind!

Thanks for watching! We really love Ellacoya and the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. If you can get in, book it! We also have a hike video on our earlier KZread visit (the one with the Bowlus).

Thanks Mike! This week's video will purposely have a minor nod to our second favorite state in the country...
I keep telling you that you need to make a cookbook of your recipes.

Thanks for watching! You never know what projects are underway at the global Luv Subbin Headquarters. Let's just say that Cindy has been working on a super secret project for over a year now. Just don't tell anyone... 😀

Rich, 60 bucks a night is pretty pricey-then charge me to take a shower.? What gives? That’s good enough front
@LuvSubbin

Thanks for watching! We agree but the lure of Lake Winnipesaukee was too great. Obviously, you're paying for the real estate. We did use the showers because we jumped in the lake and didn't want to set up our wet bath. I haven't had a shower that fast since knob year at The Citadel...
Don’t sit on the cows.

That's actually a secret nod to my Citadel classmates. A tradition when we got our class rings was to ride a rotating Coburg milk cow statue in downtown Charleston. I don't think that happens anymore...
