The first time Carter sees Grace, he's just been dumped by the woman who was there with him and she's just been abandoned by her best friend. I love the way he looks at her the first time. Later in the night, he's trying to give her advice on how to approach a guy from work in which she's been romantically interested. The lip gloss makes a reappearance ... and so does the way Carter looks at Grace with that slow, warm smile in his eyes and curving his mouth. It's beautiful.
