One of the most underrated true Rock and Roll bands
Who the hell clicks on a Quo channel about Rick’s sad demise and gives it a thumbs down?? Disgraceful 😖 he rocked he rocks on

Deeply admire this man, not for his lifestyle, but for his personality and musical talent. After having been thru 3 heart attacks, alcohol and drug problems, 2 divorces and the death of his daughter, he kept going. The cause of his death was ridiculous. A fucking infection. Miss you Ricky, rock on.

The alcohol and drug problems as well as the strokes of fate were surely also a reason for the later illness.
How can anyone not like, respect and admire Rick?? A 'Rock Legend'. Great to see at the start of this video the original Telecasters, 'TRUE WORKHORSES!. We all miss Ricks unsurpassed contribution to pure and simple 'engine room' rhythm anthems. Met the guys on a number of occasions.
Status Quo, always the first band I think of when I think hard rock. Theres no fuzz, just jeans, tshirt or a shirt. Beer and 100% hard rock without experimentations or funny business. Rock on in the afterlife Rick Parfitt \m/

Since I became a fan I didn't want to miss a gig of them and everytime I couldn't hold back my tears when they entered the stage❤ I've met them in Austria before the gig in a shopping centre and after that gig I was able to meet, hold en have a photo taken with Parfitt ❤
legend, never forget my first concert Hammersmith Odeon 1980, Rick strumming out Caroline to start the show, awesome!
You were always my rock and roll hero Rick. Thank you for all those beautiful years, will never forget you. Status Quo was my favourite band and that will never change. RIP Rick
Great band that I have seen live both at Oxford and at Reading in the 70ties. Always been a fan, have all their albums. This particular video is from Reading Festival in 1974.
Another piece of my youth gone!! RIP Rick Parfitt, thanks for the many memories of me playing a mean air guitar to Quo's music in my teens!
What a fitting tribute to Rick, The best Rhythm guitarists we have ever seen and a lovely man. I was lucky enough to meet him. gone but never forgotten Rick R.I.P
Mid 70’s Michigan palace theater! Three bands, five bucks! Rush, Kansas and Status Quo! Very next week, Heart, Kansas and Status Quo! These guys came out with no fanfare, almost completely unknown to Detroit , in front of a beat up wall of Sound City amps! Forever changed my life! Thank you fellas!
Wow, Big Fat Mama...how tight is this for live.....just fantastic! Getting the Pile Driver vinyl out tonight, and cranking it!!! RIP Rick, gladly listen to you more than 45 Hundred Times....
Another rocker gone too early. Always loved the band and the sense of rock mixed with absolute fun. Always professional and entertaining. A great loss and the younguns will miss out on the great character who is Rick.... Bless and love ya Rick.......
The End of the road tour medley in the middle is immense. Jesus they could rock. Gonna be missed.
Never be in any doubt that Quo are one of the best rehearsed bands you will have ever seen. Top of their game and true pros....
Thanks for years of fun,go rock where you are now.
fitting tribute to the greatest rhythm guitarist ever RIP Rick your music will rock on forever

Radio didn't and wouldn't play QUO. However, they did Tour the USA a few times.
The worst thing that could ever happen. I was sitting with my family eating christmas dinner, and my father send me a message about Rick. This day will never be the same again. 11.11.2008 Rostock. I'm so glad that i convinced my father to go on thier concert. He made me to pick up guitar... My first teacher. Always Quo.
R,I,P., Rick. You are not entirely dead, We'll be playing your music and keeping you in our minds!

I am from New York and just got into Quo about a year ago. I was hooked instantly and can't get enough of them. I just got a Telecaster a few weeks ago because of how Rick Parfitt sounded. It's very sad that we've lost him, but great to know I can always watch him doing his thing here on KZread!

Doesn't matter, your here now. I am jealous of all the great rock n' roll your about to discover. RIP Rick, thank you for a lifetime of great music......
In all the live videos of Quo playing Caroline, here & elsewhere, Rick's Tele sounds kind of soft in the mix. Seeing them live was a whole different story - that guitar riff hit you like a sledgehammer. Rick was one almighty good guitarist, I think that gets overlooked sometimes. We miss you Rick. Cheers!
THIS IS AWESOME! This is why i loved Status Quo my whole life and always will! RIP Ricky...you are deeply missed!
A great BIG wall of sound led by one of the greatest rhythm guitarists EVER. Always a pleasure to watch and his voice was seriously underrated. TOP class and sadly missed. Rock will never be the same without you Rick......
Thank You 👌 I am a "Quo" Fan since their first Single. This Christmas eve was a very, very sad day. He was the heart of the group. I am still very sad 😒R.I.P. Rick ❤
I saw the QUO first time on 13 March 1978 in Wiesbaden /Germany 42 years ago. It still get a smile on my face any time I hear them After" 4500 tomss"it is still a "Mistery Song". Thank you Quo and Rick for giving all that Joy!
Rick!!! Forever in our hearts! You will always rock in our lives! Never forget you. Rest in peace. Condolences to Rick's family and the rest of the band! We will miss you! 💔 Thanks for the music! LEGEND!!!=
Saw Quo at the top of there game back in the day along with other rock giants like Slade the Who and Purple say no more. The best of live rock bands that will be no more or equalled. So sad at Ricks passing Quo and the rock world have lost one of the best ever never to be replaced. Life is sadly catching up with so many of our hero's but Eternal youth will never die. Rock on and God be with you Rick in eternity.✌

They became The Status Quo in 1967 then Status Quo in 1969. So you're about right...you get a cuddly toy!
LOUDEST Concert I've been to. Made my T shirt SHIVER. Couldn't hear propley for a couple of days after. Legends...
Used to see these guys at the old Michigan Palace in Detroit back in the 1970's. I was always a fan, but most of my friends scoffed at them. I didn't care, I still bought every record and played along with every tune! RIP Mr. Parfitt, and thank you for the memories!
Had some the best times of my life listening and watching QUO . Rick was a great rhythm guitarist . RIP. Never forget you .
Utterly brilliant tribute to an utterly brilliant man
Mientras exista su música , Rick seguirá viviendo....cuando nadie lo escuche , ahí el morirá....larga vida a tu Rock !!!

Christmas day The Faith left & the Status Quo will never b the same; u were suppose to live for ever; timeless & ageless. The concerts, the unmistakable guitar twang from Rick will live forever down down deep in my heart
The only thing I think ill miss from 2016. Never met the guy in person. But someone who was there with his music all my life. good night god bless and may your angels guide you through to the gates of heaven.
Thx, Rick, for the concert of ma life : 1977, march 22, Belgrade, Yugoslavia; thanks, pal, nice presents of Yours - Mystery Song, 45000 Times, big fat mama. Hvala, Druze, pocivaj u miru
An awesome tribute to Rick. Status Quo ...freakin' legends.
Great tribute to a truly great but hugely underrated artist and musician. Been a fan since about 1980 when I was just 5 years old and feel like I've grown up with the Quo. Parfitt was a true rock star in every sense with the looks, the fast cars, fast women and the drink and drugs to go with it. A very humble bloke though and openly admits his regrets at a decade or more lost to drink and drugs and the sometimes ridiculous shenanigans that came with it all. Aside from the well known hits like Whatever You Want and Rain he also wrote many other great tracks, Lonely Man, Living on an Island and All the Reasons being particular favourites of mine. The music world has lost an iconic star and hopefully now he is up there with his daughter Heidi. RIP Rick Parfitt, thanks for the music mate.
RIP Ricky Parfitt. Complete and utter legend. Thanks for the memories. Sleep well sir.
Rick is as fresh in his performance as day one. What a talent. Rick was solid with every performance. Missed.
We are the Quo Armyo We're not cool We've never been cool We'll never try to be cool Just take three chords, twelve bars and PLAY IT LOUD Goodbye Rick - you will be missed
My hero, a true legend, missing you rick.

Mystery Song is one of Rick's finest moments. Sydney's ABC radio JJ 1540 am played it in 1976, because of the risque' lyrics and it's a great Rock song.

Weisst Du, wann Liebe beginnt? Was man hinein gibt, bekommt man, doppelt.. Und dreifach zurűck... Nicht an sich selbst denken, sondern den anderen.Das klingt unlogisch, ist aber total menschlich. .

Somehow can't imagine Rick resting, definitely not in peace, anyway. Caroline, needless to say, was when I was hooked on SQ. Consequently bought Hello, what a selection of tracks. Quo soon followed, though never a huge fan of Break the Rules. Found myself falling out of love spinning through On the Level, Down Down & Little Lady being total exceptions. Went backwards and really enjoyed Dog of Two Head & Piledriver. Blue for You was a little bit & miss, when they hit, they really hit though. Is there a Better Way, Ring of a Change, Rain & Mystery Song, outstanding ! What an amazing era. 😎🎶
Still seems impossible we won't see him again ..thanks for all those great songs & the brilliant gigs we went to .. sadly missed always ..x
RIP Rick from an norwegian fan who has followed u ower 30 years.

Thank you quo and you Rick for all the great songs and sounds starting off in the 60's and up to the present, Keep playing Rick where ever you are now !!!!!
In this time, musicians give all of heartblood in their music. Today, they play only for money!
Goodbye Rick...I'm still enjoying listening to rockin' sound of Status Quo...thank's Rick...
One month ago and still brings a tear to my eye...
there will never be a nother great rock and roller.....rip rick
Gutted. The best rhythm guitarist has left the stage. R.I.P Rick, thanks for many years of great songs. I still have the 1984 End of the road tour jacket in my wardrobe! Play on in the great unknown mate.
No nonsense Rock 'n Roll, the way I cut my teeth to music. R.I.P. Rick ...
The first time I saw Quo, it was a brilliant feeling when they opened with Caroline, Rick was stood at the front of the stage with his legs apart, his head down and hitting out the opening riff.
Rest in Peace, Rick! Fantastic riffs and voice! I saw the Quo live about 4 years ago, it was amazing and I'll never forget that experience! The truth is that in 2016, we lost not only Rick Parfitt, but many other greats: Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, David Bowie just to name a few. May they all Rock in heaven!
Sweet tribute, thanks loved them since I saw them, oh geez 45 yrs ago ? , wow ! RIP Rick from Canada🇨🇦😞
