Status Quo - Mountain Lady, Windmill Lane Studios // Alternate Mix #1
Музыка
"Never Too Late" was the fourteenth studio album by Status Quo. The band coproduced this album alongside John Eden. It was recorded at the time of the Supposin' sessions and was released early 1981, with it being the last album by the original line-up due to John Coghlans departure later that year and the band replacing him with Pete Kircher in time for the 1+9+8+2 album sessions.

When I first heard these, I couldn't hear a difference between the takes. I guess I'd need to study them rather closely.

Sounds like the keyboards are a little higher during the verses
sadly it was to be the last studio album with the great John Coghlan on the drums.
From the last great Quo Album. Take me away is one of their best ever tracks.

Absolutely, they should have called its quits after NTL and do fun appearances on big festivals. Would have been much better.
This track would be even better without the insipid keyboards,my ears are bleeding

They tried to justify the fact that Bown was a member of the Band by using Keyboards. It's my opinion that most of the Keyboards heard on QUO recordings should have been played by Guitars. For example "Runaway" on the "Whatever you want" album has terrible keyboards near the end of the song as an outro.
