Only time I saw Quo was on this tour,Bridlington Spa,4500 times,wow,sore neck for days,great gig

Was at this gig as well my very first time seeing the mighty STATUS Quo

The glasgow Apollo best venue bar none for atmosphere especially when quo were playing wish it was still there many great memories 👍

Got this on CD via a nice bloke in the car park. i added "Caroline" (missing) to the start for completion sake. Always brings a grin to my face.

46:05 Listen to that crowd. The days when Quo took the roof off. 21 minutes of their greatest song. Privileged to have seen them at the Apollo 76-84. Happy days.

You are very lucky to see them 76 at the Apollo. I only know the album and I think that was one of the best live albums ever!!! I saw them 2 times. First time in Frankfurt at "Zoom",a small club in Frankfurt in the early 70-ies and then about 25 years ago in Ludwigshafen, Friedrich-Ebert-Halle.

was at this gig at the apollo in 82. Went the two nights,one in the stalls and the other in the balcony right behind the guys recording this!

@@cameronmccaskell8610 i feel you..i worked there as Apollo roadcrew and i could write a book about the bands and experiences..including the shaky balcony which was ,ultimately why it was shut down.

The original "frantic four" Quo line up were a true rock band, unlike the novelty act they became after John Coughlan and Alan Lancaster left the band and it was amazing to see the FF back together before Rick Parfitts sad death, unfortunately Rossi didn't even mention Ricks death when the novelty act Quo were on stage in Spain less than 24 hours after Rick passing.

Alan Lancaster 7/02/1949 - 26/09/2021 Bassist/Singer/Songwriter/ Producer/Genius of STATUS QUO fame, has died aged 72 of Multiple Sclerosis at his Sydney home, surrounded by his family. Born in London, he moved to Australia in 1976 after marrying his beautiful wife Dayle. Alan wrote and co-wrote many classic Rock songs The 9 1/2 minute Psych/Rock song "Is It Really Me, Gotta Go Home" was written by the Genius of Alan Charles Lancaster. Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon album 1970 on the Astor / Pye Label. Produced by the late / great John Schroeder. Anyone who met Nuff would know first hand what a beautiful, sweet and charming gentleman he was. I had the pleasure of socialising with Alan at a few gigs in the late 80's, at some of his gigs with The Lancaster Bombers and The Lancaster / Brewster Band and The Party Boys, the latter having 2 Chart Topping Hits. " Hold Your Head Up " by Argent and " He's Gonna Step On You Again " by John Kongos. Alan produced a multi-platinum selling album for Pianist Roger Woodward.

The harmonica wasn't generally used in the live set, they had Bob Young come back for the end of the road final show but it was later done by Andy Bown!!

Bob Young wasn't with them then and as Andy Roo notes it was filled in with guitar/Bown until the 2013/14 Frantic Four reunion shows.

We're can I buy quo live bootlegs. From 1976//1986 . I use to have loads on cass tape. I bought of a guy . Was in the quo army . I used to be in . It was a big fan club . And you got magazine of the quo and name and address of people who wanted to be your pen pal . And people selling stuff. It was great long long time ago . But I used to buy of a guy quo live . Anybody got any quo live to sell .. 77. And 79? Tour was ment to be great shows

Also I got Status Quo " Singles Collection" 1966-1973 (formidable 2 CD,s). I got "Famous in the 20th Century". I've been Status Quo fan since 1970 I'm from Mexico City but I've been living in Los Angeles CA for many years, there are a lot of Status Quo fans in Mexico City and is unbelievable this magnificent band is almost unknown here in U.S.A.

Wouldn’t go as far as to say the sound is dreadful, but it’s lifted off fm radio in the early 80’s so in comparison to the quality today’s recordings can reach I suppose one can only expect it to not be as good!!

Come on. It's a true live recording straight from Radio Clyde board with no overdubs, editing or Protools with no mistakes edited out. If there's a complaint it's that the keyboards are far too prominent in the mix.
