Status Quo - (April) Spring, Summer And Wednesdays (1970)
Музыка
Status Quo are an English rock band who play boogie rock. The group originated in The Spectres, founded by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster in 1962, while still schoolboys. After a number of lineup changes, which included the introduction of Rick Parfitt in 1967, the band became The Status Quo in 1967 and Status Quo in 1969.
They have had over 60 chart hits in the UK, more than any other rock band, including "Rockin' All Over the World", "Whatever You Want" and "In the Army Now". Twenty-two of these reached the Top 10 in the UK Singles Chart. In July 1985 the band opened Live Aid at Wembley Stadium with "Rockin' All Over the World". In 1991, Status Quo received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
The band appeared on Top Of The Pops more than any other band. They have released over 100 singles and 33 albums, several of which were best-sellers.

Heavy, funky, bluesy, groovy, dirty, raw & grungy. Perfect. 53 years old! 🤯 Always one of my favourites from the Frantic four.
The casual Quo listener would be surprised they were ever this good I think

You read once Andrew L. Cope's "Status Quo: Mighty innovators of 70s rock" he boils all their criticals.
God only knows how much I love these Boys. Frantic four shaped my life. Listen to the QUO and you will never feel sad!
Godfathers of Headbanging!
This was 50 years ago. The graphics are way ahead of their time. Beat-club are just amazing.
The wonderful twang of two Telecasters.

Real music with Quo. Those were the days!❤
Coghlan. What a drummer!
The early Quo Songs are that good. This one and 'In my chair' are my alltime vavs.
This is proper quo ain't it invented ripped jeans, before they where invented, brilliant. 👍
Just the grooviest, sexiest, swaggeriest blues.
The Quo, they were just great. This music will live on.
Cool dual tele tone

R I P ALAN LANCASTER Founder member and awesome bass player from Status Quo.
With this track, they should be credited for having invented Grunge
This is what may be named Rock n Roll boogie
Rock'and'Roll forever

Devo would envy that stage
GOOD OLD DAYS🤩. Kjell Blomstrand🇸🇪.
Listen to Groove Armada's song "Purple Haze". They've used the main riff and to my opinion tied it nicely to their style.

Quo with Orange Amps ! I think Orange were the house amps for this era of Beat Club which were recorded in the UK ? . Pity there's no Lynes but still nice tight performance !

He left just before this film was made. Got off a train at Crewe on the way to a gig. He’d had enough and wanted to marry his girlfriend, which he did. Ended up in Australia.
Would I be correct in saying that the guitar that Rick is using is the famous white guitar that he became so famous for?

@@bryemycaz Like to know what happened to this Tele. Seemed to have it as main from late '68 or early '69 until around '71, then spent 2 years on SG Juniors. Quo sounded best with Parfitt on SG.

@@ianbenson7804 I don't know about this grey Tele, but I do know that Rick kept one of his SG Junior's up until the end of the road gig at Milton Keynes. Most of the early pictures of Rick playing in the studio show him playing an SG so he maybe kept it as a studio-only instrument, though I'm not sure. You can see him playing it on "Dirty Water" at Milton Keynes 1984.
