THIS goes to show us all that machine winding cannot be bettered by hand. Also I can only imagine the stress on the wire to make this winding work and not be shorted. The person who designed the machine was undoubtedly a genius, PERIOD !!! P.S. would love to get a job working for this company.

I rewinded that coil for my ktm and it took me 4 hours to complete it. I am amazed by looking at this

They did my ducati 900ss about 25 years ago. 1st one they did, still works fine.

I often wondered how they did this. they focus the wire with steel guides. that coating is equally amazing.

I noticed some manufacturers using aluminium body and some steel, which is better? Some coil wires do have a layer of laminate but some seems don't.

All coiled wire has to be coated, if any bare wire contacts any of the windings, the coil output would be affected by that rotation of wire not being classed as a rotation, hence it's like you missed a wind of wire on the coil with bare metal, so unbalances the stator by giving a fluctuation to the output, hence making the R&R have to work harder so to speak, it's coated for this reason... hope this makes sense? not easy to explain.

Yeah, and $2000 for the machine that makes it a 10 minute job instead of a three hour job, and rent for the building to keep every machine for every difference type of stator, etc. etc.
