Am watching at 2020...am doing my statistics exam next month November.and I believe when I listen to this video I will understand better...so far your explanation is superb..

I just want to say that I had no idea what was going on in class when the semester started, I went straight to KZread and searched help on stats, found professor Leonard and finally understood everything lol I just got my first test back and I passed! A good page to read about Z-Scores is from "SimplyPsychology" under the article, "Z-Score: Definition, Calculation and Interpretation" by Saul Mcleod. This really helped me comprehend approximately 80% on what is going on with a Z-Score.

It's 2019 and this is still the best series. Professor Leonard Believes in me! BTW, show that calculators who's boss!

An even more detailed version of a box-plot is a plot where the whiskers are draw as dotted lines, followed by outliers that are drawn as circles and that have values below Q - 1.5*Q1 or above Q + 1.5*Q3 as well as _distant_ outliers that are drawn as double circles (one circle above the other) and have values below Q - 3*Q1 and above Q + 3*Q3. You can also draw the mean value as a small vertical line on the box-plot itself.

Hi Professor Leonard. I think your videos are awesome. Thank you. Please I have a question. Do these methods apply strictly to data that are normally distributed? For example, if i take the login times of users on a website and graph a density plot and my graph is skewed to the right, will i be able to use the Z-Score concept to determine odd login times considering the data is skewed.
