Jeez, I'm studying at one of the most prestigious business schools in my country, and never have I heard an explanation of the normal distribution and the the 68-95-99.7 % rule, that is so simple and easy to grasp. Just, wow. Great job, this is going into my Statistics playlist, and I'm liking it right now.

This really helped me understand the normal deviation rule. Thank you so much, this was very useful and a great way of simplifying the rule for easier understanding.

❤ Nobody else shows the 68-95-99.7 rule and its been bugging me. Thanks for including that. This is the most comprehensive explanation.
Thank you! I have such a greater understanding of standard deviation because of the visuals and I can actually get the 68-95-97.7 rule. The questions at the end also helped me understand better.

You made my day so easy. From yesterday I was sitting with one page from Andy Filed’s book to understand this. However these symbols were not making sense to me, randomly watched this KZread video.. & goshhh.. This was such a eye opener... Easily explained the basics with simple animation.. Amazing.. The Easiest and Shortest Video I came across in the Web for Understanding Normal Distribution Curve. Thank you
This video helped a LOT! I never could understand the Normal Distribution curve or the Z-scores in general, and no matter how much I asked for help I always ended up more confused or lost after two steps. This video gave me a simple explanation and even helped me understand the 68-95-99.7 rule which I never knew even existed at all. This was very helpful in my understanding on the Normal Curve/Distribution so thank you guys for this!

4:23 mistake: the value used at the end of that notation is supposed to be the variance (σ²) not standard deviation. Note: that I studied normal distribution in Australia.
@TranquilSeaOfMath
4 жыл бұрын
I agree it should be variance, σ². Overall, it is a very nice video, well illustrated and narrated; it is a concise overview. I especially like the definitions at the beginning to help us understand the terms statistic and parameter.
@TranquilSeaOfMath
4 жыл бұрын
@Donald Trump Good question. In this video an important idea is standard deviation; however, in further studies variance is important. It is used not only to derive the function for the normal curve, but can be used to calculate endpoints for confidence intervals and critical regions. The notation used in the video is a standard form, which means if it is not presented accurately it perpetuates errors. Using your Pythagorean example, a common error with students is that they do not take the square root after they square and sum the leg terms, meaning their formula is a^2 + b^2 = c. The square is lost in their thinking and so they have an error in their solution. Again, it is a nice video. It does well to present the real ideas they are trying to cover. Discussing a minor error without losing the rest of the topic is important too.
This is the clearest explanation I have ever watched on normal distribution. Thanks much simple learning pro.
Great video! The graphics made it very easy to understand the Normal Distribution/68-95-99.7 rule. I extremely liked the questions at the end, which was greatly explained and made it impossible not to understand. Thank you!

hey! Could you please prepare a video about "statistically important values" when P
@Simplelearningpro
4 жыл бұрын
Statistically important values are ones that are usually determined by the statistician or researcher. In general, a P value of 5% or lower is considered to be statistically significant. If something is statistically significant, it usually means that the relationship between two variables is caused by something other than chance. And based on that outcome, you can accept or reject the null hypothesis. I will be making a video about this topic in the future, but unfortunately not any time soon. I hope that helps! Good luck with your studies, sebo!
