Stationeers Let's play Mars 30 That sounds dangerous

Ойындар

It is time to do some more work on the cryogenics plant and while it is cooling some time for experiments unitl I am rudely interrupted.

Checklist for background check/fixes: when you disconnected the line to the CO2 tank for your green house the IC chip might need to be re-connected to it. That might be why you have your always-on blue light there. Also: thank you for the excellent work background noise. Keep innovating!

I've been using a gas intake system on Mars that's similar to Cows'. I'm running into the issue of it not keeping up. I may have to go crazy with the intake vents and drains as well. I've been messing around in a creative world, trying to figure out the best setup to separate the Co2 and pollutants out for use in my base. I'm currently using a separate filtration unit for capturing Co2, but would be so much nicer if I could use phase change. No more printing filters! The only thing I can come up with is continuing to collect gas at night, then separating the condensed Co2/X mix and heating it until the Co2 starts evaporating from the pollutants. Pressure would keep the pollutants as a liquid which I could separate off as a liquid into a different tank.

You got temperature problem because you messed with the OCD natural order. Dont mess with the OCD natural order, or things will start to explode. Thats common sense :p

I enjoy all your series, a lot of fun to watch. I only have one small gripe. In a lot of your videos there is an audio clipping that is pretty jarring while wearing headphones. In this video it happens at 9:40 a couple times and then at 18:20 , 36:12 , 46:23 for example.

Pretty sure the air tank problem is because of the temperature. It stays around, -8C to -10C. I've found -14C and below makes the CO2 draining far quicker. I believe it's so warm in the tank because the tank was nearly full so it took in warmer atmosphere and shut off before the necessary cold atmosphere could be taken in. Then when the liquid boils off it warms the gases in the tank too, creating a double whammy. There's few quick options. You could set the vents to turn on later, thus intaking cooler air. Trading off quicker CO2 bleed time for less time taking in atmosphere. You could allow the room cooling pumps to turn on with liquid/gas CO2, but not pollutant, still in the line. It's like a hybrid system of what you're starting to experiment with. I worry that with the plants and nutrition mod and the setup to pull water out of the air, it might put a lot of CO2 in your water line. You could create an air tank "cushion," so the vents can turn on up to 20MPa, but can stay on up to 25-30MPa once turned on. Preventing the vents turning on/off rapidly at 20mpa, also allowing a bit more air in the air tank, so once full it may not turn on every night. You could keep up to 20MPa the same and set up a PID so from 20MPAa to 30MPa, the vent will turn on and off later and later, creating a colder air tank once it crosses 20MPa. You could capture the liquid CO2/pollutants and run them through a heat exchanger, or multiple, to cool the air tanks. Recapturing some the lost cold due to phase change. I will get you to use liquid cooling yet, I swear!

have a base on vulcan with 4 sets of 5 stage cooling setups(H2O to N20 to Pollutant and another pollutant stage and finally a volatiles stage) been using it to cool down about 130k mols of volatiles and it took quite a while to get to -100 or so until it came to my mind that it might be faster to cool stuff down by just running it trough a few direct heat exchangers dumping heat in each stage starting with the hottest stage that is below the temperature of the gas i want to cool down. managed to get 25k joules of cooling using that instead of the 10 k joules just cooling from the cold end and all that using just about 2.4 kw of power which seems pretty efficient compared to AC's

Brb ripping up all my pipes, literally unplayable 😮 Just kidding, did know about the pipes bit didn't know about the heavy cables. Cooling the cooling/air tank down more should help with faster condensation of the co2, the colder it is the faster it you can get rid of polutant and co2. You also need less gas to cool down the base if its colder. The tank was colder then it is now if i recal correct and that might be the change?
