Dude this show was Amazing! Each episode has your emotions tugging everywhere. A must watch for those who don’t mind a stressful, happy, sad, joyful, and very satisfying journey. Keep the tissues near by. You’re gonna need them!

Absolutely dead on. It had such an effect on me, especially the hopelessness of Miranda's situation. She was so amazing, you just didn't want her to die because she didn't deserve to.

Frank, Jeevan, and lil Kirsten groovin to Excursions by A Tribe Called Quest was an unexpected treat for this 90’s teen.

Grew up boxing, did it for 20+ years, I’ve fought world champions and none of their punches hurt more than episode 7. Ugh. Well done HBO, just a damn good job 👍🏽

I'm so excited for episode 4 👀

It’s the best tv I’ve seen in years. Such an original story with multiple standout performances. One for the ages. Absolutely remarkable storytelling.

I just finished watching Station Eleven and this serie blowed my mind. It is so deep, emotional, sad, obscure and strangely hopeful. Episode 9 its beautiful.

Awesome show! It finishes strong and with 10 episodes I believe the story is all wrapped up.

The book is amazing. The show has a lot to live up to. This video is far more convincing than any of the trailers I've watched. Maybe it is worth paying for another streaming service.

Great series with a brilliant concept. Our true nature as humans is Love, Unity, Tolerance, Kindness and Compassion. It is time we urgently start cultivating and teaching this in human society. Shout it from the rooftops for all to hear. I am glad they took this path in the series. We have all had enough of doom and gloom

Wait, what? Point 2:09 in trailer. "We started before people even heard the words "COVID 19". Ok, good to know. Maybe I thought otherwise because all of the other things I've ever read about pandemics I actually had read before COVID 19. Plus, the latest by author DEFINITELY is post COVID, since there are frequent references to it. But 9k. I haven't seen this, don't watch TV, but I am intrigued enough by book to have looked this far, so I may find a way to watch it sometime.

Excellent story, beautiful production. I can imagine some group of hunter-gatherers 20,000 years ago dancing or story telling by fire light after a day of foraging.

This was a great show about a pandemic who takes out many humans in just hours and it reminded me of how fragile we humans are these days in Covid times. But it wouldnt surprise me if we one day goes under in a disease we cant fight. I give this one thumbs up. 👍 (Update, sadly this show started out great but for some reason it only got worse and weirder by the time.)

There's a bit in the book about how Jeevan is surprised not to encounter as much violence as he expected simply because so many people are dead there's nobody to do it.

They wouldn't necessarily. In small contained instances they may act against the group, but humans are inherently social creatures and we have enough self awareness to realize that if we betray the group it could not only negatively affect our well-being, but could also affect the people around you who you care about. Humans before what we know as modern civilization lived as social creatures, but also fell too heavily into dogma, tribalism, and an Us vs. Them mindset when approached by an out group. With the knowledge we have today I am fairly optimistic that we would treat each other better than people would give our species credit for. Hierarchical society, specifically capitalism, tends to create the false image of everyone only caring about self-preservation, protection of property, and a select few people you care for. I'm not buying it.

You might want to watch "Nice guys finish first" by Richard Dawkins. "Cooperative altruism" is literally coded into our genes. It is why people gag at the sight of blood, you are biologically programmed to detest violence against your own species.

The first few ep's felt weird to me as well, but I kept wondering what will happen with the characters especially Kirsten and Jeevan. I then kept on going, and I'm really glad I did. The story is just amazing me, and how things are coming together after a confusing start. It will all make sense.

Having all these people sitting around acting or what ever isn't realistic. During post apocalyptic time everyone's time will be devoted to growing gatherings food.

Probably not. Almost everyone in the world is dead, so if you can hunt and forage you can probably feed yourself pretty easy, especially in that area. A lot of pre industrial societies were able to live like that, do the work you needed to in the morning or for a few days at a time, and then do the stuff you wanted the rest of the time.

Thought some of the scenes in the first episode lacked credibility: Most notably Jeevan's sister who calls him from the hospital about the threat but then is shown taking her mask off on a crowded hospital ward and coughing into her hand. Something no medical professional would do. That was ridiculously insulting to the viewer's intelligence and disrespectful of medical professionals. The five carts full of groceries being easily navigated on snowy urban streets with inclines and declines was ludicrous. Jeevan apparently having a panic attack but we need to be told that he is having one because it is not evident at all. The apparent immediate peril of the pandemic was not evident in the streets nor in the behaviour of medical people not masked up. Just too many inconsistencies for me to enjoy this show or respect it.

This was written pre-pandemic. COVID spread so slowly that we had time to adapt our habits. In the book infected people die within hours and the transmission is sci-fi levels fast.

I agree. The panic didn’t feel real and the main characters and even the extras didn’t respond realistically to the conveniently dropped pandemic tropes (cars crowded around a hospital, airplane falling out of the sky, etc.). The elements were bizarrely disconnected from each other.

I agree . I came to watch the trailer to see if I wanted to continue to watch the show. So much things just made not sense, especially the hospitals lack of protection and proper hygiene to the 5 carts of food.

Is this the last of us HBO series they were working on?

Omg,,,I am afraid to say this so please don’t anybody attack me 🙂it’s obviously just my opinion:::: I do not like this show. I tried to like this show. four episodes in and I really tried but I don’t like it,,,,I just finished watching Succession I am now watching yellow jackets and soon I will be watching servant on Apple TV I’m not saying the show is bad ,, just personally I find it boring .I find it annoying. I find It’s completely unsatisfying…with the ridiculous linear timeline people popping in and out I’m not going to invest my time in this show and then watch it take a dump in the finale ,,,,Maybe it will progress to something I might find entertaining to watch but until then you all enjoy the show ..I will have to check back later….
