I don't think Andy is going to die. They might be doing their own version of when Meredith almost drowned/almost died of hypothermia, they played that whole will they die or not. This is that I think. It also feels like maybe they are trying to couple up Andy and Sullivan, they do have pretty decent chemistry that has been building too.
